Nibble,
I would be interested to hear how much room the 5mm gave you clear after installing them. Based on Tirerack.com, your tire had a section width of 11.6”, and your overall diameter is 26.0”.
here’s a photo I took earlier of the OEM clearance, it may be closer to 1/2”, hard to tell.
Thank you very much, do you have any negative camber dialed in or is it on the OEM alignment? This doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would. Also not to bother you, but do you have a picture with the wheel straight and maybe from above or anything similar like that, thanks!
Ok, thanks getting a bit nervous now. I put my hand behind the OEM tire and the felt to be just over a 1/4” (maybe a bit more, hard to tell) of clearance between the tire and the rubber on the spring perch. The SM-10 wheels are 1” wider, so 1/2” wider on each side. The OEM front tire section...
What spacer size up front would clear in case of the Goodyear’s?
and where was the tire being hit, the side the treads?
also the A052’s you mention are almost 1/2” (.4”) wider at the tread but only .1” narrower for section width on the inside of the wheel, and taller by .4” than the 265. How...
I’m getting new wheels so I will need new TPMS on my new wheels. Can I not just reuse the ones I have on my existing wheels and have them re-mount them to the new wheels? Also if this is done I’m assuming that each monitor needs to be located on the same wheel side it came from correct...
I get it, not really blaming you. But words mean something, and hyperbole distorts the truth to the point where real differences are lumped in with mediocre ones. All the information becomes meaningless at that point. No different then the 20 vs 21 Supra debate. Yes the 21 is faster but in real...
Glad ya won, but “smoked” may be a bit much of a statement. You won, smoked, at least to me would be multiple car lengths. Not picking on you specifically it seems to be a trend on this forum.
it’s like when guys say the killed the other guy in the 1/4 mile and they only beat them by a tenth...
I’m looking for an ABS thin front splitter to supplement the OEM lip. I don’t like how the shark fins on either side of the front lip start above the bottom of the bumper cover. I don’t want a large protruding lip or additional fins either.
Anybody got any thoughts here.
Ok. A bit unorthodox, but take of your hood off and take the same route you did to get the bugs on in the first place, BUT and this is the important part, drive in reverse! Bam. Bugs gone.
Seriously, I would just try low pressure water first, then once completely dry hit it with some air. Or...
I drove a Tesla and while it was quick it did not enthrall me at all and felt very much like an appliance. Very one dimensional experience. I’ve heard horror stories of reliability from owners at car meets as well. Oh well enjoy it while it lasts I suppose.
Is there a such thing on this engine management as preemptive throttle with TC On?
The reason I ask, is because if I’m in normal mode or sport mode, with tractor control on, on roads that have slick conditions, like after it has rained, and I turn a corner and the wheels spin even a little bit...
40% reduction in Toyota production
If I’m wrong, you can blame my wife, she was reading me this so I don’t know the source. But assuming it’s true would this include Supra’s? I know Supras are built with Z4’s so IDK.
I’m from Louisiana and I can tell you for sure there will be people needing...
Ok. I went around a wet corner today at low speed but enough for the rear tires spin, I’m assuming they spun at different rates because the TC did not kick on. Right after that the hesitation started. I was in normal mode with TC on. I turned it off (one push) and the problem seemed to go away.
To be clear, after I turn off the engine, the radio is still on and would cut off the instant the driver side door opened. Now this only happens when the passenger side door opens. Even if there is not a passenger in the car. I’m trying to get the instant shut down back to the drivers side.
