Trying to quiet down some snap joints on the plastic trim where it connects to other plastic trim. What’s the best, longest lasting lube or trick to solve this condition in this application?
You know, every time I see things like this I think of the locking suction cups on my shower wall that hold up various baskets my wife sticks all kind of crap in and how they ALWAYS fall off in the middle of the night - eventually.
good luck!!
Could certainly be something in the coding of how the system interwork, and the sensors are getting mixed signals, but how does one even solve this problem.
To your point, when I was troubleshooting, I did turn TC off and the problem seemed disappeare And I thought I had it solved, except one time when I did have TC off the problem happened again.
I thought so too at first, but the thing is it’s on a dry road in not even stomping on it. I’m just pushing excelerator to pull away, I’m not even trying to spin the wheels or get away fast, and it still does it. That’s why I don’t think it’s a traction thing, at least I don’t think so
I agree, it feels like the DBW is not synced up to the butterfly on the throttle housing.
Not sure how to diagnose something like this since it is infrequent.
My concern is the dealer will NEVER figure this out!
I did notice that mine happened after there was just a few bits of spirited driving as well. Could it be maybe the engine is pulling timing because of intercooler heat soak?
So. It appears to be happening to several people which begs the next question: what the heck is going on. It makes me not trust the car in critical situations. What if I’m trying to merge or something and this happens!!!
Bought this ABS tail for $169 off eBay. Unfinished. Finished it in satin black to match the rest of the cars exterior trim.
Fitment is perfect- zero gaps and the ABS plastic is study. I had to add just a pinch of filler to a seam that was less than 1/64th of an inch.
Very happy with a $225...
Teslas (and all all electric cars for that matter) are soulless appliances. Couldn’t care less how “fast” they are. The cacophony of sounds and moving parts, the pumping of fluids, and eating of raw fuel, all orchestrated by men with passion building on a hundred years progressive incremental...
so I set my car up as a Supra in BimmerCode, but I want to go back and change it to Z4 so I can change settings only available there. What is the process to do this.
actually I do have the pedal commander, but it does not help the situation.
i’ve only had my car for over a month, how is heat soak on these cars? This morning I drove a bit hard and after I came to a stop and started off again normally, I started experiencing the issue. It wasn’t hot...
I’ve read that thread but this is not exactly the same thing. Car revs fine, this is only on throttle tip in from a stop, and once it gets going - meaning up through all the gears - it acts normal
