Thatās actually a complaint (one of those of only a few). There is no dip stick.
Iām old school. I like to SEE the oil. Iād like to be able to see if water ever gets in the oil, etc.
Iām not worried about the tune for the power like yāall say that is easily fixed, Iām more worried about anything that has to do with handling that is electronically controlled, such as are diff.
To be clear, I just bought a used 2020, and I do love it thus far. More power than I can truly exploit on the road, and same is true for the handling. That being said, Iām watching tons of vids about the Supra, and I cringe a bit when the talk about the 2021 pops up, and how much better it is...
So I got my 2020 white car used with 3800 miles on It. The car fax came up clean, and theres no apparent evidence of prior damage, but me being anal and a worry wart, I noticed today that the rear bumper is just a hair different shade of white than the body. Now I know plastic and metal can...
Saw that, not really the same thing, mine revs just fine.
regardless it appears it was indeed traction control or some other process kicking in. Today on dry roads all was fine, but Iāll keep an eye, or should I say right foot on it.
Guff,
VDC is on when I get the mush pedal. Thing is I donāt fell any wheel spin initially before it tries to stop the spin. Itās as if itās stopping it before it has a chance to spin the tires. That or it catching it very very quickly.
turning off VDC the wheels spin up instantly. So that...
Well now Iām concerned again, because in sport mode, with my VDC on, and I give it half throttle the peddle goes kinda mush then a second or so latter it revs up and scoots, feel like lag Or something. Itās when I take the VDC off do the wheels spin up instantly. So IDK.
Ah. Ok I was getting worried. The car is used (3800 miles) so you never know. I do know if I cut TC off the wheel spin instantly on these wet and cold roads.
To be clear what Iām asking is if TC is ON, and you try to spin the tires or launch hard, and the TC cuts in, does the TC light always blink at you letting you know it just kicked in.
The thing is if I turn TC off it lights the tires up immediately.
Could this be an overly sensitive TC in 37 degree weather with cold tires?
plus the car has 3800 miles on it. How many have this issue w so few miles?
So Iāve had my car for a few days. All good, but this morning itās cold, so I drive to work all normal, and put it in sport to take off real quick, hit the throttle and nothing, like an old school turbo lag. The car sits for about 1 second or so doing nothing then begins to move slowly flor...
So Iām getting devilish plastic squeaking noises from the seatbelt cover. Crazy noisy. Is there a fix for this specific issue? Youād think if Toyotaās focus was on the body this would be something easily sorted out In design for an almost $60k car.
