  1. Dealership says they can’t do recall.

To Puzzled above v I live in Louisiana. We’re the ones that give you the gasoline for way cheaper than we should. Don’t even know why you bring that up, it’s irrelevant
  2. Dealership says they can’t do recall.

Called two dealerships. Both said the same thing. I found a dealership in another city an hour away. seemssilly. They can sell the car but not work on it.
  3. Throttle hesitation

Not scanning but for me it only happens once the wheels lose traction the first time. Dry or wet road conditions.
  4. Dealership says they can’t do recall.

Yep. No tech. And they are not a small dealership
  5. Dealership says they can’t do recall.

  6. Feeling in brake pedal when wipers first start

Yeah nothing to video really just a clunk sound and you fell a bump in the pedal on the first couple swings of the wiper. I’ve done some reading on the BMW boards and its been an issue that’s been noticed for years. Evidently it may have something to do with brake drying. When you turn your...
  7. Feeling in brake pedal when wipers first start

This is weird. I get in the car in the morning, start it and click the windshield wipers once or twice to get the dew off the windshield and I get this “bump” in my brake pedal on each of the wipes. if I keep the wipers going the “bump” goes away. WTH?
  8. No traction

Is this with TC in or off? T C always reins any slip I would have. And I can smash the throttle from a stop, but I rarely loose persistent traction even with TC off. Even with stock tires, unless the ground was slightly wet or I was coming out of a corner.
  9. OEM strut braces… wanted…

I added them to my 2020, they were like $30 each.
  10. Tuning for dummies - me!

Not Mcintosh, but another boutique tube amp by a company called Decware. My main stereo is vintage Audio Research gear.
  11. Tuning for dummies - me!

Ok. Went to pro tuning freaks webpage and their diagram for programming the software to the car shows an OBD AJENT device between the phone and the CPU, what is this piece of gear for? The description doesn’t really clear it up for me. also, if the agent is just a way for wirelessly hooking up...
  12. Tuning for dummies - me!

I’m assuming this same procedure would be true for Ecutek correct?
  13. Tuning for dummies - me!

Ok. I’ve linked to my ECU via obdII > Ethernet cable > to BM3 app and screenshot my vehicle ECU data and was told it doesn’t need unlocking at this time. Not sure what “at this time” means, but what would my next steps be to running the car?
  14. DAMN! now what!

Got the car back. All is right with the world. Lesson learned on the engine cover!!!!
  15. DAMN! now what!

Listen, I did put leverage on that post when I lifted the engine cover from the corner. And while it wasn’t a tremendous amount, it was my fault to be sure. And when I gave a pull on the new post it definitely feels like it wouldn’t take too much to break it, so just be careful.
  16. DAMN! now what!

Thanks Digicidal, exactly. the VC you see above is the new VC. And the post didn’t break off it just cracked at the base.
  17. DAMN! now what!

At the base of the tall mounting boss
  18. DAMN! now what!

You see the large opening on top of the VC? The tall post next to it. At its base is where it cracked.
  19. DAMN! now what!

ever wanted to see a Supra valve cover. Well here you go. For posterities sake.
  20. DAMN! now what!

To be clear, the cover didnt break the post it connects to did. The post that broke is like 3 inches high and is extruded from the valve cover. I lifted the cover off of the engine on the diagonal opposite corner. When it the cover popped up I went a bit too far putting too much leverage on the...
