@digatron man that sucks. I've lived in and around the Irvine area since 2000 and over the years I've had cars with loud exhausts and have never been ticketed either.
Honestly, sounds like bad place/bad time. Cops were probably itching to get someone at that event.
Yeah I love Cali. We have the some of the best roads (which we pay a sh*t ton in taxes for, which I will not deny), definitely the best weather and scenery, but life is definitely hard for a tuner out here now.
In my experience however, if the mods are modest and your car is not obnoxiously...
Planning to cruise to the beach in the am with the family and then to a pool party at a friends. Thought it’d be fun to take the coupes so spent the day cleaning and fitting car seats into Supra and it’s garage mate.
I’ll (of course) be driving the Supra. Have a safe and happy Labor Day y’all.
That’s just calling us older folks out @kaj. You know us guys and gals that bought import tuner magazines in the 90s and dreamed of owning A80 Supras, FD RX7s and the good ole 300 ZX… but in reality all we could afford back then were EG and EK civics so we fixed those up instead lol.
We liked...
Well, nostalgia factors big for the Supra namesake and I think that Donut took a “safe” ranking so as to appease the general car community.
Hindsight is 20/20. I love the MKIV too… but people always forget that MKIV’s literally rotted on Toyota dealership floors. Toyota could not sell them even...
@SuupYota Yeah i remember the early days of the R35, Nissan was voiding warranties for using LC. Made no sense a feature they put in the car and touted would void your warranty.
Just being honest, but you will be disappointed if you replace the Supra with the TTRS. It’s a great car to have alongside the Supra, but not a good replacement for it in my opinion.
The TTRS is a great street and drag car and that’s it. It is basically a cracked out shortened wheel base Golf R...
Doc - check to see if your garage door switch has a learn button like mine does in the pic.
Need to use that button to program, not the garage door remote.
Yeah definitely must be. I would hope there is only one person out there and absolutely no one else with such bad taste.
Poor girl was destined for the salvage yard the second that monstrosity of a wing was put on it.
Man. I really hope I’m wrong but it might be considered totaled. Let us know what your carrier ends up saying.
New bumper, hatch, driver tail light, rear diffuser/valance… and it could just the camera angle but the area above your B/C pillar looks a little raised where it meets the roof.
100% agree. I share the same opinion about the iPhone as I do about Teslas (ok caveat on my opinion on Teslas, since most I see on the road are not performance models):
The iPhone is 100% an NPC phone just like how I think model 3s and Ys are NPC cars/suvs. They’re not particularly exciting or...
Used to be an Android die hard but I made the switch to iPhone permanently for my own phone for 2 reasons:
1. I had kids and wife is an iPhone only person and photo sharing between android and iPhone still sucks ass. If your S.O. is on iPhone it’s just much easier to share photos and media if...
Sorry man that sucks. File a complaint with corporate and yeah don’t go back there. I also have 3 channel dash cams in all my cars for this reason.
Irvine is probably your best bet - they run a tight ship over there and won’t eff around.
What dealer did you take it to that you did not like?
I took mine into Toyota of Orange (I work out of Orange) for the first service and again when I had the emergency trunk release getting caught in between my trunk They did fine both times - no indication of joy riding or w/e. I actually need...
M2 vs modded M240i.
I am starting to come around on the M2.
Still think it’s ugly as sin, but you can’t see it when you’re sitting in it and driving it… so yeah I’d consider one I guess.
In the San Juan Capistrano/San Clemente area. I’ve met @SD_MK awhile ago and his was the first modded Supra I rode in.
I was eyeing the Kiwami’s that @zrk had on here for weeks but missed out on those and also missed out on the ZR10s you’re now rocking. All good though.
I usually drive all my cars in sports/dynamic mode if I’m driving alone. If it’s a clear and dry sunny day I’ll hit the traction control button once for a little fun.
Normal/Comfort mode if I have a passenger - generally do not “hoon around” with people in the car.
Nothing special but finally drove her for the first time in weeks.
I’m getting bored with the looks. Thinking of maybe wrapping the roof black or swapping out the color matched spoiler but we’ll see.
