I'm going to hard agree after having recently driven the 718s bigger brother, the Carrera 4S.
Wife got me seat time in a C4S at the Porsche Experience Center in Torrance a few weeks ago and I had a chance to drive the piss out of it around the PECLA test track. When I walked in, I fully...
Hmm. That looks like 133 Toll and I5 merger in Irvine?
Read through the comments and I’m not going to preach on a high horse. I have radar detectors and speed, I also do drive the Supra in “traction mode” (the TTRS in Dynamic, the hatch in Sports mode) a lot- BUT only when conditions warrant...
The pic of that AZ was taken at sunset and any white car is going to have yellow hues in that sunlight. AZ is a pearl white - it’s similar to or the same as mineral white for BMWs.
Trust us - the white is white and the red is very red. You won’t be disappointed in going with either, but if red...
@FuzzyRev85 for the price/performance ratio, I don’t think anything comes close to the Supra. Which is why if I was in yours and OPs position, I’m almost certain I’d end getting another Supra too.
The only other car that I’d consider if I wanted to spend more $…. and I’m going to eat fat crow...
To the homey in the Nitro Yellow with the big wang I saw on the tolls today - sick ride and rock on ?
Disclaimer: do not try taking pics going 80 mph… it’s pretty damn dangerous.
Yeah google says a 2022 AT is 12.1 seconds at 117 mph.
Will have to watch when I’m off work - but did Cammisa use the stock tires? The stock PSS are absolute garbage for drag racing… great for sliding around though.
Carriers set the premium based on risk factors.
Supra (I.e. expensive sports car) + 22 year old with accidents and tickets (likely a massive liability) = you gonna get raped on the premiums.
Generally applies to all types of insurance - if a business has terrible loss runs, good luck finding...
Had a long day at work but had something to look forward to at the end of the day - picked up the Supra from a local wheel shop. Got the stock wheels powder coated matte bronze.
Your best bet - find a parking lot in an unincorporated area. Those area are under the jdx of OC sheriffs who are less likely to ticket… unless you’re acting a complete fool or someone calls you in - which can happen here in South OC (damn Karens with nothing better to do). I’m in the Ladera/SJC...
Mine is 2022 MY brought home in January of 2022 - currently at just under 14k miles.
Drove it as a daily for the first year and racked up 10-11k first year but only about 3k miles in 2023.
I’ve caught the collectors bug so the Supra will likely not accrue many miles going forward - searching...
Wow. That retention clip for that spring is chiseled away.
Sorry OP, don’t have a good answer for this other than maybe eBay an airbag assembly?
But for anyone else trying to get the airbag to release on the MKV, try pressing down on the airbag (like you’re pushing in the horn) and then...
@AutoDelight if you do end up putting in a lift, post pics.
I’ve had thoughts of getting a bend pack lift to park the Supra and TTRS stacked but my 2 car garage dimensions are similar to yours and I’m not sure how I’d make it work unless I also somehow raised the garage door rails
Have the Supra, TTRS and GLA45 but my dream is to bring one of these home.
Coworker got it as a gift to himself and drove it in today. Yes I’m super jealous.
I had the day off and was bored so decided to take the fleet out for a drive and snapped some pics afterwards - all 3 cars have Maxton Design kits.
Man, I haven’t driven the Supra in so long I forgot how long the front end is… look at that lip resting on that curb in the last pic. ?
Damn. That really sucks. I’m sorry man. I say get another Supra with the payout. If not, I’d personally go for a 718 - that’s my next conquest car.
