I think it’s cause on their test track Thomas is usually going 9 or 10/10ths.
James is risk averse (he’s not a track rat like Thomas and he talks about it in the A91 vid if I recall- saw that vid awhile ago) and he doesn’t go full out on the track.
Thomas is a bit critical of the A91s back end...
^ nah man, if you go back and watch his other videos of the Supra, its clear that he isn't a big fan. There are little digs here and there in this vid too: (a) "oh listen to that loud fake engine noise", something he's harped on since the Supra's release, and something the Z has too btw - which...
Lol. Took my car in last week to Toyota of Orange to do the first service at 8k. Glad to report no fires.
Dropping it off there in the coming week to get my trunk release fixed. I’ll let you guys know if the trunk catches on fire.
I like savage geese but I knew from his prior videos that he doesn’t think that well of the Supra. Objectively they proved the Supra is the better car in every measurable metric but still end with “I still prefer the Z”.
Yeah @chenqiju... I looked closely, and it looks like the emergency release handle is jammed where the trunk closes. Scheduled to take it in tues a.m.
Rest of y'all, tape that yellow/green handle shit to the trunk lid.
Thanks @UCLAKoolman . Yeah I purchased mine from Autonation Toyota in Cerritos, but I took it in for the first service to Toyota of Orange last week. Yes... the same Toyota of Orange that repaired that GR86 that was "allegedly" on fire. It's the closet dealership to my office.
Yeah, i'm going...
Well add me to the list of guys with a broken trunk release. Worked fine when I went to go pick up my laptop that was in for repairs. Placed the laptop in trunk, closed it. Now neither the trunk release button on the door panel or key fob works. Hear a click, but not the disengagement of the...
2022 3.0 brought home first week of January 2022. Daily driven M-F (80% toll highways averaging between 75-80mph on the toll) and currently at 7600ish miles. Typically use cruise control on the toll in normal mode and go into sport mode on local streets. Getting 22.6 MPG (on 91… hard to find 93...
A lot of you guys have impressive lists of prior cars. I’m in the camp where the Supra is the first sports car I’ve owned. My list is not impressive:
Previous Cars:
2002 Acura TL-S
2010 VW CC
2015 BMW 428i Grancoupe X-Drive
2019 Velar P380 HSE R (still own)
Had the same issue with my prior 4 series. Dealer drilled holes into the bumper. Took mine to a body shop and they filled it and repainted the bumper. You can get color matched plugs but I don’t like the look of them.
I asked the dealer I got my Supra from to not mount the front plate bracket...
I figured the price of the performance model would be around $50k, but was hoping it would be less. But yeah, this ain’t no Supra killer and it isn’t great value either.
At least we will get to see the Z on the streets… in our rear view mirrors.
Yeah I know this is an old thread but a few days ago I enabled sport plus by using the Z4 option in BimmerCode and for some reason when it finished the flash this time around it properly went through the steps to setup video in motion.
No idea why it worked when I enabled sport plus, but video...
Lol love that it’s always sunny reference and that would probably be more exciting than what I do. I represent owners and operators of long term care facilities and rep them in acquiring and divesting facilities and negotiating real estate and other types of financing (accounts receivable...
This. Drive both and you’ll have your answer if you’ll be satisfied with the B48.
But for what it’s worth, there are folks that went from 2.0 to 3.0, but I have not heard of anyone trading in the 3.0 for a 2.0.
The Golf R. Been looking at getting a lightly used 2021 or a new 2022 as a kid hauler and most VW guys seem to agree the DSG is better than the manual.
