Might be time to pop your rotors off. When I installed the new pads, I took a wire wheel on a drill to each rotor to remove the old compound. Would be worth a try for you, then bed them in again.
Finally got to test out the DTC 60/30 combo compared to the PMUs. I like the DTCs better. I feel like they handled the heat better. Pedal feel and bite is better as well. Got the fronts hot enough to melt the paint off the pads and experience no fade or odd pedal travel. Also to note, I felt...
Yep will be there from Fri-Mon. Kinda want to do the dragstrip portion since we dont have a 1/4 mile track out here anymore. Just curious to see what the JB4 actually does. Guess it will depend on what the price is.
The Saturday event is pretty boring but you get free stuff and food. I know I...
We are officially one month away! Any of you CA people going? I will be heading out there the morning of the 20th. Will be staying at Circus Circus (since I know my car can make it in their parking lot) for Friday night, then will be heading out to Pahrump for Sat and Sun night since I am doing...
I never said anything about him rebuilding them? As with any powder coater that I would use, I would completely disassemble the caliper myself and send them just the parts that need coating. Then it’s on me if they fail after putting them back together.
I street drive too but it’s like 100 miles a month. Not sure if that is enough to cause any issues. But again, even though I thought I bed them in good enough (they smelled horrible and were smoking) it may not have been enough.
Yep, mine did that since day 1 on PMUs. I think it was a beddng issue. The more track days I went to, the better it got but still does it once they warm up. On this last track day, I barely even noticed it. Switching to Hawk this time around and will see what happens.
