i think you should approach this question differently. what don't you like about the current suspension? is it too soft, too much body roll, too much understeer/oversteer? all those contribute to the amount of confidence you have when driving the car at the limit. the cloesr you can drive the...
i'm going with Castrol Edge 5w30 (non-euro) because it meets API SP and ACEA C2 ratings. C5 is a mid SAP oil. C2 is the same as C5 but with higher HTHS ratings. This is why C5 oils are 0w20 and C2 are 5w30.
Directly from toyota US GR Supra owners manual:
it's probably an oil made specifically for north US/canadian customers. i believe it's made by exxonmobil.
if you want gr supra certified toyota oil, then you should visit your local toyota dealership instead.
Front is non-adjustable as people have mentioned. The factory manual says you can replace the front knuckle to gain you about 0.5-0.7. It’s a few hundred per side. Up to you if you think that’s worth it. Otherwise just bump up the air pressures to reduce chewing up the sidewalls.
When the GR Supras first came out in 2019, it wasn’t difficult to find dealers discounting these cars for $5,000 or more. With the recent shortage, best prices are going to be sticker price. The high volume Toyota dealers receive about one Supra per month and it’s usually pre-sold.
Once the...
toyota should do a better clarifying this detail.
my understanding is the same as above.
3.0 manual gets the same red calipers and larger rear rotors as the 3.0 premium.
3.0 (base) automatic gets the unpainted calipers and smaller rear rotors.
not sure why toyota gave the manual a premium...
A bit confused.
Are the ones you’re selling the factory approved knuckles to add negative camber to the front? This is for SCCA B Street.
what’s the camber correct versions that you have?
Changing exhaust flow efficiency requires a review of the data log and potentially a new tune . Are there people running without a tune? I’m sure there is.
I don’t think any professional race team wants a traditional manual
whats the reasoning for the 8th gear lockout? Compliance with racing regulations?
only a lawyer/judge can determine the validity of that contract. i'm just saying if the customer wants to hassle you, they can challenge this in court, and the GM will probably just refund the customer to avoid all the wasted time over $500/1,000.
GMs don't want to keep anyone's money without...
i doubt this will hold in court, but it's an easy way to weed out the bullshit buyers.
the GM of the dealer will just refund the deposit if the customer tries to get their non-refundable refund back by taking it to court.
Toyota USA couldn’t care less. Toyota sells the cars to the dealers and it’s the dealer responsibility to sell the car.
The dealer is just tired of people canceling their deposits because other buyers do the same thing as you.
Dealers shouldn’t really take a deposit unless they have an...
if you use the car for its intended purpose (street driving), just use the factory spec oil. you'll be covered by warranty no questions if anything happens.
if you track it and subject it to extreme conditions, then go 5w30 but know that toyota may deny your warranty claim if the engine blows...
Toyota dealers can’t order anything. They’re allocated by dealer and customer preference. If the dealer doesn’t have one that’s already allocated, then you may be waiting a while before you get the color/trim you want.
