Squeezed in between some Vipers and a NSX.
Also got to take a look at a Z4 today, almost identical engine bays but their interiors are way better than ours. At least the dash components.
Its someone’s, but not one of ours.
All I felt for a while was a steady “thump” but it was subtle so I thought I picked up some debris in the tire tread. I stopped when I first heard it, checked the tire pressure and the rears were at 42 psi. It wasn’t until I got back on the road and it...
I rode over the screw, if you look close enough, it’s not from our car, I even did a check when I pulled the wheel and all were accounted for. I just picked up an extra one along the way. ??‍♂️
Check the initial pics, you see it sticking in the wheelwell liner (it made a new hole). That was in my tire for a while and after a while it shot out after a mile or so. I slowed down to around 50 but that wasn’t slow enough when you have a screw that big in your tire.
Saw that but with the hole the screw left, had to be plugged from the inside.
Added the screw I pulled out of the firewall for reference. Unfortunately, didn’t take a pic of the hole in the tire before they took it back.
Learned some things:
Slow down when you hear 'thump thump thump thump...' (Could've made it home with the bolt if I limped it)
Not having a spare sucks
Having road assistance is great if you don't mind the wait
(Next morning) Oh wait, no jack either. Car is too low for standard jacks, need a...
Correct, it's not. The iLIFT system uses an Air compressor which would technically make it an air system, but it's far from bags and the systems I've seen offered to NSX's and similar cars have actuators without air compressors, so it can be done. My question was, is this available for our cars...
I'm sure you're aware that some super cars come with an actuator system that lifts the car on the fly when needed, that was my original inquiry, if our cars had that aftermarket option available to them? That's it, nothing more, nothing less.
All this other nonsense you're trying to sell me on...
Yes, I've owned two show vehicles ('95 Civic Coupe and '05 Lexus IS300), civic slammed with coilovers on the ground that I had to drive diagonally into the driveway to get into the car show. Please save me your insecurity about airbags which again, I acknowledged and said I didn't want.
You...
Do you just want validation for getting bags? Did you not read the first post, I do not want bags nor do I see the point of them on performance cars.
The lift system the other guy posted is way more along the lines of what I was looking for. If I wanted bags, I would just destroy my car and get...
This is the video that made me create this post. I think this system is more rigid and grounded than bags but of course, I can be wrong. I don’t think they make it for our cars yet but when they do, I’ll be the first to grab it. I actually live in a hilly area and I would like to make the car...
Was the only Supra at a cars and coffee in Maryland. Was about 100 cars at any given time with some coming and going, no other Supra’s.
I like being one of the rare ones on the road.
Does it raise the height of the car on the fly?
I'm thinking something with acuators would be rigid enough to raise a car an inch or so, does something like this exist?
