KW makes a hydraulic coilover that does this but it is not available for the Supra unless you figure out how to hack it together and it is not cheap experiment

Cheaper to just get a good front lip and rear that can take the abuse from a little scrapping here and there rather than worrying about it ...
I saw their YouTube video, didn’t know if another company already developed an application for our car. I thought it was pretty neat.

Well, what I had in mind was something like this. I didn't know if that was something that was readily available, but just was expensive to acquire.

I saw that there are apps that control dampening, I figured they had one with ride height that wasn't so extreme as airbags. But it seems it's not in the cards and I just go with a regular set of coilovers.

I am wondering, why do people choose springs over coilovers with this car? Is the stock setup able to handle being lowered with no other modifications?
Because with springs, you get to keep the active dampening, as you’re keeping the stock struts. If you remove the struts (specifically a connector that controls the active dampening) the car will throw a chassis warning message. Personally, I don’t think coilovers is worth seeing that message every time the car is turned on. Will the car be able to handle being lowered with the stock setup? Yes but, an alignment is a must after you install your coilovers/springs if you don’t want uneven tire wear.

What about the coilovers that embed into the stock system, even with active dampening, will you still get a CEL?

I've got the DDC coilovers that are being installed; I'll let you know go how it feels after alignment next week.

Does it raise the height of the car on the fly?

I'm thinking something with acuators would be rigid enough to raise a car an inch or so, does something like this exist?

No it just adjusts the ride stiffness between sport and normal mode when you click the sport button inside the car.

This thread is dumb ? just get bags if you want so much on the fly adjustment (I have bags for the record). Or get coils if you want to go the track. I highly doubt most of you are going to run coils so low that you have to be genuinely worried about damaging anything. If you scrape on your driveway or something some driver mod is a much better fix than some arbitrary $6000 adaptive automatic suspension system ☠

I've been looking at iLIFT but unsure if it works with the stock suspension. Did some research and some guy that's running them on a NSX KW coil-overs. Supposedly the systems has its own ECU that lifts itself automatically with sensors or there's an option to do it manually.

This is the video that made me create this post. I think this system is more rigid and grounded than bags but of course, I can be wrong. I don’t think they make it for our cars yet but when they do, I’ll be the first to grab it. I actually live in a hilly area and I would like to make the car higher than stock in some situations.

Do you just want validation for getting bags? Did you not read the first post, I do not want bags nor do I see the point of them on performance cars.

The lift system the other guy posted is way more along the lines of what I was looking for. If I wanted bags, I would just destroy my car and get them.

Looooool no, I don’t. I was trying to let you know I have a little perspective into both sides of the coin. I did read your first post, actually. I made a suggestion in one of the first replies about Coilovers with aircups on them.. do you want to take a guess on what the “Ilift” system you just said you liked is?

Also, to reply to your comment about bags not belonging on a performance car, neither does a vague automatic air system to help you get over bumps in the road. I couldn’t find them list the product weighty anywhere but I’m sure you’re adding at leeeast 60 lbs with the filled system. Doesn’t make much sense for a performance car.

Have you even driven a low car? I really doubt lowering springs or Coilovers at “competitive” heights are going to give you a ton of trouble but hey, don’t let me stop you from dropping 4,000 and adding more weight to your “no compromise, don’t want to ruin it, performance car suspension” setup.

Yes, I've owned two show vehicles ('95 Civic Coupe and '05 Lexus IS300), civic slammed with coilovers on the ground that I had to drive diagonally into the driveway to get into the car show. Please save me your insecurity about airbags which again, I acknowledged and said I didn't want.

You added nothing to this thread, criticized it saying it's dumb, and then act in self defense when someone calls you out on it. If you had nothing to add, why did you say anything at all?

Okay, you’re the one putting assumptions out there so please do not try to justify your huge contradictions by calling me insecure. ? I own cars on Coilovers, bags, and stock suspension and I was simply trying to give you advice based on my experience.

I added the first comment and suggestion to your thread, and another one later trying to help you find a solution. This thread IS dumb because you’ve already been provided with what is available for this platform by commenters.

The setup you want is air suspension. Just because it’s smaller bags, and they stuck a tank and the compressor inside of a plastic housing doesn’t change that. So I’d appreciate if you’d stop typing to project onto me that I’m trying to be insecure or defensive when I’m just trying to provide you with the information you asked for. It depends on your application and purpose and as you’ve driven multiple show cars I’d expect you’d know the purpose of bags

blah blah blah
I'm sure you're aware that some super cars come with an actuator system that lifts the car on the fly when needed, that was my original inquiry, if our cars had that aftermarket option available to them? That's it, nothing more, nothing less.

All this other nonsense you're trying to sell me on is honestly a waste of energy, I said I didn't want bags or an air suspension. Your suggestion, although apprecaited, again, NOT what I'm looking for. I"m not sure how many times I need to explain to you. You could've ignored the thread or just said no and either would've been a better answer than what you decided to offer as a reply. Thanks, but again, not what I'm looking for.
