Sopped by the local village supermercato near Mugello on the way home from Imola to get some supplies. You don't fit many groceries in this thing.

If you buy one new std bolt and measure the under head length against a removed one you will be able to tell if it's a TTY bolt. Generally TTY bolts have a preset torque and then to an angle. A lot of bolts called for replacement in the manual these days aren't due to being TTY fasteners but...
I drove over the amazing Passo del Giogo today to visit the iconic Imola race track. The villa where we are staying is at the beginning of this pass at the southern end. We took a wander around the track and visited the the monument to Ayrton Senna at Tamburello corner where he lost his life...
I'd be disappointed if the mufflers were absorbent types with packing material. Not likely I would have thought unless they have the facility to be repacked.

Vacuum filling is always preferable in modern systems. Not essential but preferable. It also allows you to check the system for leaks and makes the factory bleeding procedure more effective. Vacuum fill tooling is so affordable these days you'd be silly not to.

Yes it's hard to beat the sound of a V8 of any kind. The first thing my FIL said the first time he heard the Supra start up was "it's no V8 in the sound department is it". He was right. Like a V twin Ducati compared to a Japanese in line 4. Worlds apart in the sound.

Well considering many race cars use spacers I guess there's no issues with them from a mechanical aspect within reason. I have 10 and 15mm purely for aesthetic purposes. Adding spacers does give in affect a slightly reduced spring rate which I surprisingly felt when I installed them on a Focus...
Pump the tyres up, charge the battery, top up the gas, drive it for 1000klms and change the oil and filter as you normally would. It's a car not a space ship. It will be fine.

Nothing except wishing I had it here. I'm staying in a Tuscan Villa literally a stones throw from the famous Mugello race track and listening to sounds from the track in the distance and the bikes and cars driving an riding the awesome roads right outside of the front door. I don't know why they...
Supercars are such a silly category, I mean bespoke racing chassis that are basically all the same with bodywork loosely based on a production car. They had to stretch the Mustang body panel shape to fit the chassis when they created the "Mustang" Supercar and then to add insult to the whole...

Yea quotes like that mean they don't really want the job. I've had rear and front plastic bumper/clips painted and they actually came out a better colour match than the factory. A lot of factory plastic bumper and front clips are a half a shade off right out of the assembly line and I've had...
You shouldn't be. Any decent painter won't have an issue matching the original paint colour. Thats what differentiates a "real" spray painter from a "pretend" spray painter. It aint rocket science to a pro. As for $2000, well if it's quality CF without pinholes that often drive the spray painter...
When I got it I went to the website to try and figure out what about it was a risk to my health but found nothing obvious so came to the conclusion it was only CA "stuff".

In reply to the post topic heading it's the combo that's still on the shelf at the sellers store for mine. I'm not totally convinced the Supra needs any aesthetic upgrades with regards to a rear wing and front lips usually just get trashed eventually anyway. The cars got a nice clean...
This is completely wrong. The process I have outlined has been done literally millions of times over the years on all types of engines. Even if there is a small amount of material left in the sump it will stay there and be flushed out during the next oil change. For aluminum to do any damage it...
