  1. How Much Money in Mods?

Insurance is the killer for me.
  2. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

Tire Rack was jerking me around. It took some phonecalls to get these here lol. I'm excited! Just need my wheels from Jackie D. and I'll be all set.
  3. Supra property tax outta control.

I grew up here so I knew the taxes were going to be high. Just how high they were was a surprise. What's your point?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????!????????????????????????????????????????????
  4. How Much Money in Mods?

Blew past $5k in mods a while ago. I'll probably be just over $10-12k to get to where I want. 10.7" wheels square with 200tw tires, MCS or Ohlins coilovers, the SPL catalog, pads/fluid/lines, seats, track reliability mods, and an ECUTEK tune. That's not even beginning to count how much $$ is...
  5. How much more enjoyable do mods make your car to you?

When I was younger I threw mods and wrench time at my cars. I love spinning wrenches, and I learned a lot about working on cars. I really did some really fun mods to my cars, but everything I did lacked a clear direction. I got into SCCA Auto-X and actually ended up undoing several of the...
  6. Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser + MagnaFlow Exhaust

As far as I know it's the only functional diffuser on the market for our cars. Lots of cosmetic diffusers out there that look good and don't do shit.
  7. Supra property tax outta control.

No argument from me. I had been living in Colorado for 12 years in an "unincorporated" part of Jefferson County on the outer edge of the Denver Metro Area. I moved back to CT and nearly had a fucking brain aneurism when I got my first tax bill.
  8. Supra property tax outta control.

Once my kids are finished with HS I'm out. Sucks because I absolutely love my house and my property, but it's just not worth it in the long run.
  9. Supra property tax outta control.

Let me tell you about a quaint little state in New England called Connecticut.
  10. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

I'm going straight to a fixed back. The Sparco EVO QRT seems like it fits well in the Supra, and the XL seems like it's going to fit me lmao.
  11. What’s the highest mileage Supra with Pure 800 turbo?

Lots of B58s in BMWs running the Pure 800. I'm sure someone has 100k+ miles on one. The B58 seems pretty bulletproof at that power level with regular maintenance.
  12. PLEASE HELP!!! ECU problem

As long as you show John the proper fealty and remember that he's a tuning god and you're subhuman scum you should be okay.
  13. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

NT01s are very popular in the P-car world as well.
  14. Ohlins Road & Track

Doh! I misunderstood your post lol.
  15. ECUTEK Announcing Changes

GESI Cat? Will it hold up on track? You're absolutely right. Time will tell how this really shakes out. I don't want to upgrade my turbo anytime soon, I just wanted the option to down the road in a year or two. The 93 custom dyno tune Mikey Botti did on my car with the completely stock...
  16. ECUTEK Announcing Changes

Well this makes me regret going with ECUTEK, although it's not their fault. They have to do this to stay in business. I'm still on the factory downpipe with my ECUTEK tune, but part of the reason I bought a 2020 was to be able to upgrade the turbo and defeat associated CELs. Can I run a...
  17. HKS downpipe "METAL CATALYZER"

Worse in some cases. The local cops don't care for the most part, but the state police will pull you over for the smell and write you a nasty ticket.
  18. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

I mean, in the conditions we were in on Saturday I probably had one of the fastest cars there, but these tires wouldn't deal with real heat very well because of the compound. She's really torn between the Z4, a 981 Boxster, and the Fiata Abarth.
