This is a disappointing post from one of my favourite people here. You're track day video's have helped my insomnia enormously over the time I've been a member here. I thought we were "connecting";)

The object of my advice I give is to help the average person that doesn't necessarily want or need to buy specialised tooling for everything. Here's a picture of my garage and I have a cabinet full of measuring equipment as well but not everyone wants this.
Out of interest I checked the the max...
Here's a set of my Mitutoyo Vernia callipers. Note the rebate on the internal measuring faces that are 1mm or .040" on each face so you can measure over any outside lip if you position the callipers over the the disk in a semi perpendicular attitude. So unless the lip on the edge of the disk is...
Sometimes if you can push the release latch you can use a long smaller flat bladed screwdriver to push on CAREFULLY on a projection or edge of the removeable half of the connector. Breaking the connector in this type of installation is a disaster so care is required.

I like the way everyone here is "speculating" on the disk rotor wear. The way to asses if the rotors need replacing due to wear is to measure them and see if they are above the minimum wear thickness. A cheap set of 20 dollar 6" Vernia callipers is adequate for the task. Above min thickness no...
Sorry but I think that wheel looks ridiculous. I can go with the Alcantara wheel rim but the spokes and the centre covered in Alcantara looks silly to me. The equivalent of shag pile carpet floor mats, lol. Sometimes less is more.

You didn't. What do you mean by the "exact amount"? Exact amount that comes out or the exact amount specified in the shop manual? Does the oil monitoring system indicate an overfull condition or does it just top out at 100%/measured level no matter how much you have in there?

And there in lies a clue. Overfilled engine oil. During stopping the oil in the sump surges forward and causes excessive splash onto the front cylinders and if the oil level is too high the oil control and second ring can't deal with it totally and you get some oil in the combustion chamber...
God it's a grade behind the world. SP is the latest grade specifically upgraded for for DI engines. Why the hell would you use a Toyota branded oil. It's just corporate "hand in your pocket" stuff. Someone else makes it and Toyota charge you for the honour of getting sucked into their branding...
That would be because you used the wrong size connector for the gauge of wire. These are simple devices, no wire stripping required. Install the connector over the wire you want to tap into and insert the end of the wire you want to be connected into the vacant hole and close the connector. The...
That's what I'd do but misfires on DI engines are common esp during cold starts. The other issue may be a less than stellar injector on #5 that requires cleaning. You could try some injector cleaner through it but it's not really a big issue unless it's throwing a CEL. The ECU has a threshold...
I've never understood the concept of a vanity plate thats specific to a particular car or car brand. I mean a vanity plate with "Supra" or "BMW" or "Chev" or something on it that is identifiable to the specific car seems dumb to me. It's like "yea I can see you're driving an X,Y,Z I don't need a...
