Yea. Don't let it worry you. I want to make my own aluminium front plate bracket. Just need to get access to a car to take some measurements.
How long was your wait?

I've looked at the Victorian number plate Regs and there are options to comply apart from that thing they use. I looked up the regs because I was preparing for them to use that very excuse on me as well. Just caught up in the Muppet world and all the dealers are the same. I have current dealer...
Here's a weird thing with the seats here in Aus. If you order the car in the std Red or the new Orange then the Alcantara is a $4468 option but if you order the car in any of the other more expensive colours the same Alcantara seats are a $2668 option. I wanted Red with the Alcantara seats but I...
Is it just me that finds lifting wheels on these days a bit of a genuine physical effort? Even with studs I don't really look forward to it. I'll use some wheel spacers on my car when it arrives and use the guide pin. I actually bought a single car wheel lifter dolly to use. Another back injury...
Hence the OP's mention of using a double mesh screen. With a fine mesh screen erosion will be an issue but FOD should be ok. Personally I wouldn't do it myself but if you're asking for opinions then you get both sides of the story.

Not caused by a brake disk rock
Not if you're flying somewhere like domestically in India they're not. We used to provide power by the hour to a major Indian airline and the dirty air effects on compressors were significant. However a gas turbine shifts a lot more air than a turbo car engine. Most of the compressor blade...
Do you need an air filter on a road car? No. But what's needed and what's advisable are different things. Just a fine mesh screen to stop the major stuff is doable but not really desirable in the real world. I rode Ducati road bikes for years with just coarse screens for filtering and of course...
In principle from an engineering perspective there should never be any need to replace steel bolts or studs unless the threads are worn or they have been over torqued at some point assuming the studs/bolts are adequate for the load to begin with. Steel can be cycled an infinite amount of times...
Good to know. With the RS you needed to run pinch weld/jackpad adaptors as well as the Quickpad blocks or you had issues with side skirt interference. I have some nice aluminium magnetic ones from ZL 1.

I have a set of 5000LB Quickjacks but I can't remember what the minimum height is with jack pd adaptors. I guess I'll find out if they fit the Supra soon enough

Have you thought about a pair of these or equivalent to lift the car for floor jack access?

I know it sounds electronic but a possibility " might" be the HP fuel pressure regulator bleeding off excess HP line pressure caused by the engine heat soaking after shutdown. These things can make some interesting noises sometimes. Another possibility might be the A/C system doing something...
