Yea I'm not exactly looking forward to doing the Supra. The front hood section looks reasonable but the front nose section look like a proper challenge.

My advice after applying some 3M PPF myself to my Focus RS and Mazda CX5 is to do it yourself. Is it tricky? sure but it's quite doable and a great result achievable if you do some youtubing and buy some pretty basic equipment.
When I bought the RS I investigated getting the PPF done...
It may be the the rear hatch striker needs to be adjusted to pull the hatch down tighter on the seal and keep it a bit tighter. Here's the manual ref.

Yep, higher revs= greater road speed for the gear you are in and a better shift action. If you experiment you will find the minimum rpm or road speed in first, take your pick that gives a nice clean 1st to 2nd shift and drive it to that if the short shifting action bothers you. Most drivers want...
From previous experience with other makes it can be a failed/failing battery although your car looks like a 2023 model so that seems unlikely. When the load comes on a failing battery and the voltage droops the electronics can go crazy. The cold weather wont have helped. Checking the battery...
Here's a link for Australia to give you an idea. There should be a ton of places in the states that sell the same. I've not used the spray can methods but have use 2 pack I mix myself and spray with a small gun many times over the years on a lot of motorcycle stuff including entire engines and...
If the TB isn't able to be powder coated and you are desperate to colour match it with other engine components you could always have it sprayed in 2 pack. 2 pack is fuel and plenty enough heat resistant for a throttle body and has excellent adhesion to metal parts without primer. The prep and...
You need to bare in mind something here. A gearbox thats designed to take probably around 600ft/lbs of torque max unless made with some high spec/exotic gear materials and complex machining to reduce the weight of the gears is never going to shift as well as the comparatively light duty gearbox...
Yea thats not unusual. It's just that the syncro sleeve and the syncro teeth happen to align and it slips in nice. Same as when you do a clutchless change and match the revs well it just slides into the next gear. I'm a CDV sceptic as well but I'd be interested to know the outcome if you remove...
What about when you shift at say 5000rpm and don't baby it. Still bad? Typically these gearboxes that are designed to take relatively high power and torque need some road speed to help the syncros work. The Tremec T56 is one such box although Tremec refer to it as a " medium duty" gearbox. Drive...
Ok thanks for the clarification. You really need to know how the dealership came to the conclusion the clutch assy and flywheel needed replacement. Have they stripped it down or just "shot gunned" it is the question.

Now I'm lost. I thought the problem was a slipping clutch and it was somehow identified as needing a new clutch assy and flywheel per your first post but now it was all fine until it wouldn't select a gear with the engine running? The latter normally means the clutch won't release. Who...
The issue is the way the warranty system works. The dealer almost always loses on not only the hourly rate for warranty work but on the allocated times as well from the manufacturer so they hate warranty work to start with. Then there is the aspect of the parts costs. So the dealer removes a...
If this happens when you are lugging the engine at all it may just be gear rattle. So releasing the clutch and when you get on the throttle the engine is quite low down in it's operating rev range. I'm speaking here from experience in other vehicles as I don't have mine yet but it's a gearbox...
Red GTS manual for me no Alcantara. I'll wait for a week and see what the sales guy has got for me in the way of shipping Details etc. Looks like late Jan 24 for me I guess.
