    Sorry. Kind Regards Phil
  2. Crash Supras on Public Roads

This is the type of reactions you need if you are trying to show off. I showed this to my son when he was learning to drive so he could get an idea of the reactions you need esp in the wet when a car gets sideways. Stuff happens very fast esp on a heavy RWD road car and you need cat like...
  3. Front Radar Sensor- Error 482136 Sensor Misalignment

And the bullshit detector in the back of the room starts to glow. Real story. The dealer is too scared to replace the unit under warranty because if it doesn't fail a bench test back at Toyota he'll be eating the cost of the component. Phil
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

Is that a plastic drum? Phil
  5. 2024 Supra possible diff leak

I guess it seems pointless until after some years and accumulated miles you get something like suspension member cracking due to resonant vibrations that the driver doesn't feel but the chassis does. That's also why they are used in some applications and as the name suggests it's a "suspension...
  6. Vibration at acceleration

Maybe a diff brace. The issue might not be the power wearing the flex disk but the angle changes when the extra torque is applied to the diff housing and the resultant movement. This will stress the rear flex coupling more. Bad engine and or gearbox mounts will stress the front coupling more...
  7. 2024 Supra possible diff leak

The clearance profiles make zero difference to the power/torque. They look average but that's a std system for you. Looks aren't a high priority. Ease of production and plenty of clearance to other components is. Phil
  8. Oil leak

Looks like the most likely scenario. The other tell tale is the accumulated oil looks as fresh and clean as oil straight out of the container without any signs of discolouration at all. Phil
  9. Other options for race tracks that are too loud?

They do here like you wouldn't believe. Phil
  10. Other options for race tracks that are too loud?

The normal MO for these late coming locals is to not complain about the noise directly but indirectly by petitioning local authorities not to shut down the track but reduce it's useage so they don't look too unreasonable. Then they keep petitioning for even more reductions in use until the track...
  11. Quick jacks arrived, first oil change tomorrow.

Auxiliary stands are mandatory if you are getting under the car with it up on the Quickstands. Phil
  12. My23 Supra safety recall

Don't know why the article thinks a recall on an unsold car is weird. Std procedure to address recall and SB requirements during the PD on cars and bikes. I've carried out a few of these over the years during PD's. What do they want manufacturers to do? sell the car with a recall notice on it or...
  13. Low Battery Warning?

State of charge is almost certainly just voltage and not how much the capacity of the battery actually is. You can check sates of charge with a voltmeter but you need a load test to check battery capacity. A battery can have great voltage and looks to be fully charged but under load the voltage...
  14. Quick jacks arrived, first oil change tomorrow.

    Umm. https://www.nhtsa.gov/press-releases/consumer-advisory-warning-harbor-freight-jack-stand-users Phil
  15. Low Battery Warning?

If you own a modern vehicle with ECU control over the electrics incorporating a min voltage threshold which they all do you need a battery health/load tester. It simulates starting load to check battery capacity among other things. Here an idea of what's out there. They will be cheaper in your...
  16. Teach me CDV

When was the last time you changed your clutch fluid and bled the system out of interest? Phil
  17. Got mine! - 45th Anniv Mikan Blast 6-spd manual

colour looks good in that light. Phil
  18. Warranty issue- vibration 2021 Supra

So the fix is longer arms  Phil
  19. Warranty issue- vibration 2021 Supra

It's because every car is slightly different and every component has a tolerance in manufacture. I've seen a lot of different vehicles display varying symptoms due to this. One of my cars powered by a Gen111 Chev and T56 gearbox and aussie tailshaft and diff ( a VX SS Commodore) had annoying...
