I personally wouldn’t go as far as to say until it is no longer a BMW engine outside of the shape....but who knows. When I hear someone mention “calibration”, I think fine tuning and minor enhancements.
It would be cool to see a Version 1 & Version 2 of the B58 cylinder head. V1 would be for...
I asked if anyone thinks the issues of the N54 were rectified for the B58, ya know the B58 everyone is ralking about going into the MKV. How is that not related to a MKV?
Refute what facts of yours? The “friend number 1, 2,...., 19, 20...” facts? Come one man, who are fooling? I don’t need to waste time explaining or finding you “facts” on Toyota forums why the RB26 is the greatest motor to come out of Japan. Believe what you will....but, this has NOTHING to...
Haha...ok man, that will be your little secret.
Oh, and here’s a low blow for ya’....the VR engine in the R35 was created for the R390 back in 1995....staying true to its JDM racing roots and staying true to its over engineering foundation. You can talk shit about any car or any...
The RB series of engines began way before the JZ series....as in 1985. The RB26DETT was out in 1989, before both the 1JZ and 2JZ. :headbang:
The RB is king when it comes to Japanese engines. Don’t try to justify otherwise...
...or, they kept all of the specs of the MKV Supra as planned and did not name it a Supra. The LC500 body with a LS500TT and cheaper interior would have been a perfect platform for the new MKV Supra. I’ve said this before, the MKV Supra will make or break Toyota’s reputation in the high...
Every motor has it’s limit on a stock bottom-end. The “huge power on a stock bottom-end” trend started with the RB26 motors in GT-R’s. The RB26DETT is to this day the motor that “started it all.” I wanted an RB for my Z build, only reason I chose a 2JZ was cost...it was cheaper to buy a 2JZ.
I recently sold my SC300....great platform, however mine had rust that was pretty bad. Either route u go, it should be good. After all, a 2JZ is a 2JZ.
Awesome rendering! That might very well be what the production car will look like. However, one thing...can you make the center opening a little shorter, or all three openings shorter on the bumper? The reason i ask, is because if you can imagine a U.S. license plate on the current racecar or...
Guys, I saw this on YouTube today and thought it was an interesting video. If BMW has rectified all the issues of the N54 in the B58, we might very well have a solid 2JZ alternative??? Your thoughts?
I'm curious about something......rules of homologation in "production-based" cars and how it applies to the MKV Supra.
"In racing series that are "production-based", meaning that the vehicles entered in the series are based on production vehicles for sale to the public, homologation requires...
