The 4 cylinder model is likely not happening or may be a Europe only variant. Either way, there has been next to no chatter on that for quite some time and most if not all countries will only see the 6 cylinder models.

Not to my knowledge, other than Tada himself. It wasn't so much that they wanted a BMW powerplant as it was that they had a current lineup of inline 6s already along with the associated running gear.
Had Toyota kept an inline 6 somewhere, like in a Lexus or something, we would have likely seen...
It's definitely quite a bit different than the Z4 in several big ways, but having those people complain will make the shock of the truth so much better.
Interestingly enough, the reason the F-Sport treatment was given to cars like the CT-200 and damn near the rest of the lineup is because the engineers/project managers of those projects wanted to impress Akio, despite him not giving a damn about anything other than sportscar and racing haha...
