Don't get me started on the RB26...
I love them for sound, aesthetics, and the AWD, but they aren't the greatest motor until you build the bottom end, slap a Tomei oil pump on, and install some oil restrictors in the head.
It's not about changing his opinion; this is to exert pressure on those in charge of budgets and possibly those that caused the auto only situation in the first place.
I don't think Toyota would even take it seriously at a 1000. It would likely have to have to be 10,000+ to have weight.
Why not barrage Toyota on Twitter with comments of pure disappointment over no manual? :)
Both?
haha, I can totally agree with styling opinions. I liked the R33 first, then when I got the A70 I started liking the aggressive boxy style of the 32/34, and now I've come full circle and feel the 33 is aging and will continue to age best out of them all.
as you said, it definitely could have...
Moto Miwa, basically the Japanese/American father of the AE86 and FRS/86 by extension.
Friends with Tada, Keiichi Tsuchiya, and many other OG h.achi roku dudes.
I saw that Moto posted that and was intrigued... something to keep in mind is that Moto is close friends with Tada, so in actuality he likely knows even more than I do lol.
He is in tight with Toyota though as always has been, so he stays tight lipped and rightfully so given his tenure.
I'm guessing by the R33 comments that you guys are talking about aesthetics, of which I can understand the subjective nature.
Engineering however, begs to differ... Things to keep in mind: it kicked the R32 GTRs ass on the Ring (and in every other area due to vast tech improvements) and sadly...
Guff pretty much nailed it with my sentiments, but you are right in regards to be being a contradiction... that's why I hope it's just the minor stuff that's been planned versus a bunch of other crap.
that reasoning is so Toyota that I have no issue what so ever believing that as the actual reason... I really, REALLY hope the idiots in global sales didn't succeed with the plea for 8 speaker audio and 18-way adjustable seats or whatever they wanted to put in this car. the committee has already...
Yeah, basically Akio would create even more sports cars, but the board doesn't even want what they have now. To further complicate that, they didn't want to approve anything until they were shown the success of the 86.
Only after the 86 did they actually approve the Supra, and even now they put...
ahh, you're a hardtop fan (I am too despite owning a targa); that definitely changes things.
that said, most are easily under 100k miles despite being targa.
