Camber has 100% nothing to do with tire/wheel to strut clearance. That stays 100% the same no matter the camber setting as the whole hub/strut/wheel moves together. It does however, give you more tire to fender clearance as it brings the top of the tire inboard with negative camber.
5mm toe out EACH side? I think you might be mistaken. If not, RIP your tires in 500 miles. Even 2.5mm each side for a total of 5mm is a lot in the front.

Ah yes you are right, 850 is currently only OEM core. You are lucky the blades didn't also contact, because you would be replacing an expensive intake manifold as well.
