I went back to self tuning my Supra last month and I'm continuing to refine the tune on the car based on all the data I get from my track days.
Currently running E40 on track and datalogs have been clean overall. I'm working on refining the power delivery for track use. I am ramping up...
Or actually read the maintenance schedule in the warranty book. Calls for engine oil and filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. Not that I recommend waiting that long, but you brought up the whole warranty adherence thing.
You have no idea if some moron at the...
You have a 2020, just get an actual real ECU tune. You'll get real timing, real fueling, real throttle mapping, real boost via real load and torque targets, etc.
Going to be hard for anyone to give you any insight without a log or even the actual dyno chart. Anyone that says they can are just lying or trying to sound smart.
Don't even bother arguing with him. He writes paragraphs of things to sound smart but historically when actually pressed and challenged, he has fallen short every time, or tries to deflect and talk about his wife's Mercedes.
E85 helps but not as much as people think, cooling wise. I ran E20-E25 my first season with the supra on the stock tune and it helped keep the ignition timing much more consistent. ECU had no issues with even up to E30.
I didn't like them at first but now I like them. At least currently with...
Another Lime Rock track day. Was day five on the RE71RS and they were heat cycled out but was fun sliding around. Still manage a 57.84, only one second off my PB.
My Supra has three seasons of track use. First season was stock power. Second and current season is with 500+ hp.
45+ track days
1701 laps
40.1 hours
Zero issues so far.
Only mechanical issues I have had have been from trash aftermarket SPL parts.
Data shows your opinion is incorrect. :)
Example here under almost 1.5g of braking. Bias is front. Rear bias would make the car want to swap ends all the time. The brakes system bias is dynamic on the Supra so accounts for friction differences. All my data shows it is still front biased all the...
