Never been a fan of modern Mercedes. Their gimmicky interiors look so bedazzled and basically age out after a year. I have respect for the iterations of the turbo 4cyl they put in the A45, CLA45, and GLA45, but those cars always seemed to fall short. On paper you think they would be one of the...
Mr. 50 years of experience was so sure it was LITERALLY ANYTHING BUT:
Even though everyone else was: “It’s a rock”, and guess what, in the end:
I'm celebrating my birthday this week and I am getting close to 50. One of my biggest fears in life is to start becoming hard headed and set in...
Curious question, have you built a car with 400-500whp more than stock before?
My last car was a fully built 700hp Mitsubishi Evolution. I was sick of building cars with a ton of compromise, so I set out to build a high powered car that was also worthy on tracks with turns, but was docile...
For curvy track use, works the same as EOS (data has been shared from both in the thread linked above). I like seeing data, not just people saying things work well or don't.
Well yea, the illustration is exaggerated, although, my fronts do have a small gap at static rest on the outside from the negative camber, but nothing like the stance bois do, which are closer to the illustration. ;)
Yup, another reason to have more static negative camber in front, so when...
Yea that makes sense since you can't get it through Ecutek. I was asking about port injection because this would also be a GREAT feature for track cars that turn their steering wheels, even at lower power.
So I'm assuming you are bringing in the these CAN data points:
wsfl/fr/rl/rr are wheelspeed front left, front right, rear left, rear right
And with those data points you are creating 3D tables where the tuner can input amount of timing retard, etc based on the X/Y values?
If so, why do you...
Unless I'm not understanding, you are thinking about it the wrong way.
The reason you want more negative camber in the front is because it is strut based, so as one side loads up and compresses, the negative camber reduces. An extreme example is if you have -2.2 at static height, when the...
I don't have personal experience with them. I do know a bunch of VW guys have had good luck with them, but it obviously depends on the company making them.
Those IAT's are for sure taking some of that timing out. However, your timing should still be better than that on a E30 blend. The target psi in the upper range you will never hit as the stock turbo can't flow that much up there.
Do you still have the OEM charge pipe? I would put that back on...
The issue here is that his wants are rooted in emotion, not reality.
We all know a 1000hp car on 93 octane, for under $100k doesn’t exist in reality. Anyone that has even built a 700hp car knows that all too well.
The hellcat demon is the closest 1000hp turnkey example but it’s over $100k and...
My birthday is coming up and I was reminiscing a bit this week about some past track experiences so I dug into the archives to find this gem from 17 years ago. Some things never change, like hard headed Viper and Corvette drivers being rolling road blocks and drag racing each other down the...
