I can't think how those doors would end up helping. And now you have aftermarket reliability on a part you use any time you drive the car. I have two cars with long doors. They are a pain, but no way would I consider an alternative opening system.

Spacers are fine but spacers that come with studs are not. I wouldn't trust the latter for long. Buy a good set of extended studs, then you're good. So you don't waste the spacers you bought, just knock the studs out and continue to use.

Real question here, I'm not being facetious. Other than wanting to spend more money on tires, why would you want to go so wide?

I agree to travel before deciding. That being said, if you like Florida, go. Not much can compare to living in a place you like. There's a reason I put up with so much to stay in CA. Yes, other places are cheaper.... But then I'd have to live there instead of here. ?
