As far as time trials, there is an unlimited class any āstreetā car can compete in - down here in my neck of the woods (or swamp). The Corvette Z06 & GT3RS are both incredibly fast and in that unlimited class. For me, stock power, without aero and just on a square wheel setup, I can hang pretty...
Same. I bought into a lot of those cheaper cooling mods in the beginning, when I probably should have just waited for the car to possibly code on track. But Iām with ya. Who knows man š¤·āāļø. Hindsight is always 20/20. Now that the Supra GT4 EVO2 is out, I would follow whatever theyāve done for...
Dude you making us all proud š„¹. Well dun!!
Driving in the rain will pay dividends for sure! Times are typically much quicker after a good rain. Maybe itās the surface, but Iād like to think the confidence gains begin to match the grip. They both go up in an exponential fashion.
As far as...
Right!!!! š§āāļø š
Iām just sayin it happened to me. If you canāt do your own, like you, you do run into lots of shops that think they can do it. My steering angle sensor was all mucked up for a while because it wasnāt reset properly. Other times, the car didnāt feel right hard trail braking down...
Yeah McDonalds doesnāt have the same appeal (or probably quality as well) over here š
Definitely worth buying a better air compressor. These battery ones now have really improved. Got my kid one for trips, charge the puter š», or other devices and Iāll be damned⦠it works so well, I got one...
Wow Brett!! Mega sad⦠I gotta say my RX8 with a straight pipe was the loudest car Iāve ever owned. I couldnāt imagine that poor guy. I love the design of that engine and how high it could rev š. A friend raced one professionally and that thing was so badass rip roaring loud. He can still hear...
So true! I was at a really well known mega safe sponsor/host (or whatever theyāre called) track event. I literally saw a Lexus flip up in the air and come apart. I canāt even remember why it happened. But the track crew was amazing! Great response time and got the peeps to the hospital ASAP...
Yāall have the Borla out there? Iām just waiting on AWE to make a valve or on/off conversion switch/flap for my track exhaust. I gotta admit I do love it. But damnnnnnn itās loud AF at times when I donāt want it to be. Such as cruising on the highway :drive:
Fantastic photos and what a story! I was headed for the big like or luv button, until the death ā ļø part š±. Damn dude⦠sorry about your loss and glad they fixed it.
As long as your wheel is straight, the car feels good and your happy - Hakuna Matata š
Youāre not alone btw:

Our cars really need a pinpoint accurate alignment. If your tire wear becomes noticeably uneven, you start...
How does it compare to PBIR? I liked PBIR but it was small and repetitive, imo. Homestead is just on the edge of being too small and Sebring I love for all the reasons Ron mentioned. Itās big, different surfaces, you can muck it up anywhere along the way. Thus being consistent at that track is...
If OEM lines, you can clamp the hose, cap or plug the open line, always keeping the reservoir full, and bleed the brakes when done. If steel braided, youād plug or cap the hose with a banjo bolt and copper washers, keep em upright, reservoir full & then bleed the brakes when done.
I was getting a crooked wheel by regular alignment shops. Sean is right (and others). I ended up driving about an hour away and they get it right every time. Totally worth it. I go there now or use the mega expensive place closer by that does it by string.
Itās a pain in the ass, but next time...
Well said. I get mine bled all the time and thatās exactly the case. That really hard initial pedal feel is hit or miss and they work themselves out. I was left foot braking just for fun in town, practice I suppose for maybe someday, anyway the bite & feel was almost like my wifeās GTI. Barely...
