When you say - "The only way they could make it better would be to make it out of stainless rather than titanium."
Can you elaborate? Asking because the weight savings of the Titan kit is one of the reasons I am eyeballing it. Handling, acceleration, gas consumption should all be better with...
Dang, I was afraid of this as I have a manual myself. The price we pay to have the better car, sigh... :(
Shit talking aside, please let us know what you end up doing :)
I love going to COTA, the track is amazing and it's such a fun experience.... Not even just for cars, I saw a Megadeth concert there once that was a blast! Sadly I don't think I'll ever track my Supra simply because I have multiple other cars that are track built :)
This impossible for me to say, someone else might need to chime in. I'm in the Austin, TX area so if anyone around me with a V2 would like to check my car out and do some comparison, I'm all for it.
Can you see what exactly is making the front end lift? Is the top of the bell housing lifting the car by contacting the trans tunnel maybe? I do believe most if not all people in this thread having been changing these out on automatics, so maybe you are in fact running into an issue with it...
To you point, I think the Verus hood louvers would be a good alternative. Doesn't look as good but is a ~10th of the price :)

I can take some measurements... but in this regards I think I might use some thermal reflective tape to sorta "extend" the OEM intake duct to cover the entire MST intake box. Isolating it a lot more from the engine air. It won't look pretty, but it will likely reduce IATs further without harming...
Update:
Just posted my installation and review. I did NOT get temp data, but I will in the near future and update my post.

This is a review for the newly released MST 6" Intake. This, from my understanding, deprecates the MST v2 Intake that uses a 4" filter and different build design.

Intake obtained. Ordered thru x-ph. Shipped fast.
Will try and do an install/review write-up this weekend or the next. I'll do my best to compare intake temps with the OEM intake... will also do some acceleration tests compared to OEM. Mind you my data won't be as scientific as it should be...
I agree, especially since it's Kevlar, and presumably full faced. I have a full faced Kevlar clutch in my K swapped BRZ and after 15,000 miles upon inspection it looked like it lost maybe 20% of it's life? And that was with a good amount of abuse (clutch kicks, racing, etc). I'll likely go this...
Valid question, here is my academically unqualified breakdown:
Hotter air is less oxygen dense than colder air, because of this the turbocharger has to work harder to compress the less dense air to achieve the same level of boost as it would in cooler conditions. This principal also directly...
The video shows +6hp and +16ft/lb
Their website states " Max gains 10-12hp and 20nm ( 14.75ft/lb )"
So yeah probably something to be gained with the intake alone and even more with supporting mods....
As far as intake temps they don't talk about it. But I think as razorlab mentioned it's...
Anybody run 18x10+25 square setup on 275s (with stock suspension)? I've read the Apex article on square setups... and the verdict was 18x10+30 is about the least amount of offset you can get away with in the rear BUT I would like to hear some first hand experience on this if one has it.
Personally I think it will be fine. The inlets to this look to be facing the front of the vehicle where the OEM air inlet is. Could always throw on a cold air intake duct like the Verus engineering or one of the cheaper ones to be extra safe.
I'm personally gonna pull the trigger on this - just...
