I came from the other end of the spectrum, MX5 & S2000, that would go all day, down here in the summers. Regardless, this car should fit the bill for you. The OEM power (and catless downpipe in my case) Supras do happy hour or HPDE sessions no problem. Iāve personally done multiple full to empty...
Interesting thread. Guess my car is so loud, Iād never notice ?
Project Mu 999 was ātighterā than the Hawk DTC60 I usually run.
Looking back at this thread, I really need to bite the bullet $$$ and try the CSG ones like Rock (Bob) said. Just for performance. Bryan (Razor) is correct (as usual...
Iāve never tried them. Only used grease. But I believe ya! I wonder if tracking would cook that tape? Hawk DTCs had more āwiggleā room than the project muās that were recently installed. I donāt think even tape would have fit with those pads ?
A few guys down here (myself included) have notice some power reduction as the day goes on, if you drive in the summer. But it needs to be in the 90s (track temps over 100) to really notice it. The few Supras Iāve seen go into limp mode have had power mods. If youāre going to do that, Brian...
Thatās great man! I know Mark and Maria well and met Wei-Shin way back when he use to come to Sebring more often. I remembered that Chin NSX ? Loved those cars!! I had a Honda S2000 with Sick Sideways. Maria and I would get rides from John Dean, back when he would do that sort of thing. I wish...
Depends on the brand of pad. Some have a shim, some donāt. Higher quality or race pads wonāt for example. You put the grease that comes with them directly on the back surface. They will fit tightly if installed properly.
My car (and I) couldnāt be happier after getting rid of the pad wear sensors.

Itās mega easy checking the pads with a flashlight if you think they are getting low. The fact that youāre able to change them puts you in...
Some peeps have found their cars on Google or Apple maps. I found mine at (for) an upcoming track event. Glad to see our Supras making the track cut ? ?
Iām really interested in front brake pads. For the rear, Hawk DTC30s have been more than plenty for me. I know Pagid is huge with Porsche. I tried their DOT4 fluid in a pinch. It worked for one weekend then I went back to Castrol SRF (wetter longer). A Pagid rep was in the shop recently and...
Damn thatās cheap! Or could get one that even says Premium on the box for under $17 ?
I do get the point of diminishing returns. Changing it monthly would be stupid. Annually for me yields a pretty dirty looking filter. So thatās when I change ours.
About the same here. I was looking for a M2 or Z4 and found the Zupra. At the time they were about $10k more and weighed more. So it was a no brainer for me to buy one with a Toyota badge on it. Iāve seen a few M2s in the wild now and gotta say, theyāve grown on me big time! If someone needed a...
Everything depends on where you drive, what you can tolerate, no one person or driving environment is the same. Most the time my AC points directly right at me. The way my schweaty ass likes it. Last thing I want is the majority of the air blowing bug guts and other dust mite ? on me. We all can...

Great post interview & best statement ever from Max ?
What if you donāt drive on public roads (or live in Florida ?)? If I could put the same amount of ethanol with every fill up and itād be better, Iād do it in a heartbeat ?
Just keep a tiny jug in my trunk or garage to add prior to fill up ?āāļø
I used to add a tiny bottle of 2 stroke oil to my...
Luckily my wife is slim. So her or my thin kids do our cabin air filters annually. I have to workout & avoid the industry standard American ? ? ? consumption lifestyle to stay under 190lbs. It sucks! No way Iām attempting a non glovebox cabin air filter. Iāve tried and got that sick feeling as...
The Mazdas we have are such a piece of cake - glove box is the way to go!
Iām not looking forward to doing the Supra again ?
Ford is no better btw. I swear I hated doing our Mustang and now my daughters Fiesta ?
Is that your car??? WTF ? And what the hell is that place?
How are you going to even drive it? Thatās got to be the best looking Supra Iāve ever seen ?
I donāt know much about the OEM pads. But Iāve heard they do well for 1st track days. You should always bring a little flashlight with you to the track and check your pads and rotors. If you canāt see the meat of the pad, itās probably time to change them.
