  1. What Front Lip You Rocking?

Holy clean wheels ? I know I’m supposed to be looking at your lip ? but damnnnnnn dude. I haven’t seen that shade since I bought mine ?
  2. Cold air/Ram air**non premium

My previous cars benefited from it. This one, meh ? but you’re right about the sound. And I like the looks with the see thru cover. Also found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AFRIVNQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details It fits and says I can wash it annually. Pretty cool...
  3. Are stock intakes better than cold air intakes?

Yeah if I would have know this before I installed mine, I wouldn’t have messed with it. But since I did, you are right, I can hear is whoosh a bit more. I have a MST with the see through cover. It’s kinda cool looking I suppose. And the replacement filter is cheap...
  4. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

HA… I just found this thread again thx to the other thread you started. Are you thinking about tracking or getting a fun daily driver?
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Where do you plan on racing and with which group? I absolutely love this platform & seeing it compete more heavily/aggressively. Great work!
  6. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

One less thing for me to worry about! Thx brother. Hopefully you can & will join me someday soon.
  7. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

PHD racing seems to be their go to now. Another vote of confidence behind that brand.
  8. What did you do to your Supra today?

Met her cousin at the gym yesterday (alternate name for this thread - what you did yesterday) So lemme guess. We still have the same engine, hardtop, weigh & cost less. Anyone else start on the BMW build page and end up with this Toyota Supra? Gotta admit, I like the Z4 and love BMW. But...
  9. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Any y’all use one of these for your windshield ? https://www.stek-usa.com/windshield-film/ https://www.getexoshield.com/ I’m going to pound the pavement tomorrow and start calling around for someone to put it on for me. Donā€˜t want to deal with a 4th windshield this track season ?
  10. Broken carbon fiber lip

Lol, just said this on another thread
  11. Why are all the lips the same??

I think they’re all the same after you rip them off doing track runoff… They all seem to scoop ? up the same amount of dirt and look just as cool hanging down in the paddock ?ā€ā™‚ļø ?
  12. New parts for 2023-2024

I usually tear off lips or drive so safe that my lap times come down. A wing would be nice if I could put it on and take off. That’s a pipe dream but thought Iā€˜d mention it anyways. I don’t want it for the street or say a track like Daytona. And I donā€˜t want the ā€œLOOK AT MEā€ factor off track. I...
  13. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

Damn that’s a 3rd reason! Love your trolling amigo ? Ok, 4th reason - when answering a what’s considered a stupid question, I learn more about my thought process and why I do something. Sometimes it’s different. Sometimes it’s not. Regardless, talking to new peeps who spent $60k to be in this...
  14. Height adjustable springs vs coilovers

I’m running OEM wheels off season in town and 275/35-18 (6 months in season) at the track. No problems. I did get spacers for a different issue. Don’t need them now but they are only 10mm and no need to toss them. Plus having that extra 10mm all around doesn’t hurt anything. With or without...
  15. Several HPDEs in, looking into mild track upgrades

@decodeddiesel - I drive to and from the tracks during season. I’m currently at -3 camber and want to go to -3.5. I know you drive to the track as well. I’ve never had an inner tire wear problem (like you’d assume). Only outer from a different issue. Anyway… this year I’ll be making my longest...
  16. Height adjustable springs vs coilovers

If it helps https://www.supramkv.com/threads/race-tracking-your-supra-information-exchange.16389/page-104 Coilvers and LCA work surprisingly well. Lots of options for a guy like me to play with. Mainly reliability running negative camber and brand support. Ohlins with SPL fit the bill for me...
  17. Restraint System message

If his car has been modified at all, I’d stay away from any dealer like the plague. I’d recommend a good coder with Techstream or similar software to see what’s going on & work with your mechanic that did your current mods.
  18. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Fully agree with Sean/Evo that the Ohlins are incredibly nice for the price. They really did their research for our car. A lot of race guys quickly asked me, knee jerk reaction - ā€œDo they make Ohlins for your car?ā€ So yeah, my lap times came down, car feels great on road or track. I’m really...
  19. Issue with steering feedback

Donā€˜t know if you’ve considered tracking the car. Having adjustable control arms are a nice option if so. You can get more negative camber and give a really experienced alignment shop more flexibility. I use a shop where that is all they do. Alignments. The independent owner fixes dealer...
  20. 5w40 motor oil

Spot on! I’m on the overkill Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W-40. If I cook that oil, I’ve got bigger issues to deal with. From FCP Euro: ā€New BMW's fitted with BXX series engines (B58, B48, etc) "require" 0W-20 LL14FE+ Rated oils. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND using this spec! The levels of protection LL14FE...
