The above basics apply. If you can find someone who’s invested in a Hunter alignment machine, you’ll likely find a good shop. They are expensive and what BMW uses. Next track day, ask others from the Orlando area. Bound to be race shops a plenty!
I’m running a square 275/35-18 setup and kept...
That’s one of the few electronic gizmos that does work in my car ?. It did take forever to setup and a BMW account or something like that. But I’ll be damned.… even when my steering angle sensor, windshield rain sensor, parking sensor and you name it is not working, that damn app works ??‍♂️
Bit off topic but highly recommend, hire a professional coach. It’s expensive but the gains are incredible. Kind of like learning the right golf swing from the get go. Don’t have to unlearn bad habits. Also, everyone will know who the “professional” racer is and hope you two will stop by and ask...
Wine country is a shop right in front of the track here at Sebring where you can try stuff out. Wife used to get pissed when we’d stop at Summit racing off I-75 (on vacation) and I try all kinds of gear out. So I got her into driving too. Problem solved ?
Maybe it’s different in the Supra? But was always taught buy the best pad you can afford and standard, non corrosive vented rotor ?‍♂️ Ditto on no slots or drilled.
Love race ramps! They are a must for any lowered car. Hell, if I ever start working on my car again, I'd get one of those auto lifts. And even those I hear you need ramps to get em started ?‍♂️
Yeah
Good points! I followed @underdonk's @razorlab leads and got the package on another thread. Still have my stock 0-20. 5-30 would be a decent progression in the right direction living down here.
This company sponsors our Chin trackdays down here in FL. They claim if you call them, they can do it. I hope that's true and saves you a bunch!

So you don't need both. Protool is for Android from what I can see on a basic internet search and ISTA is the software BMW shops would need or use to reset this or say a windshield? ISTA for the win then, when asking someone to reset codes for this car? Saving me time man! Appreciate it ?
I've heard it will run on older windows computers. But that's Techstream and ISTA.
And if you're car ever became slightly prone to throwing these codes, could you reset them @J29DB03? Great info and appreciated
I know the 5-30 will be fine @underdonk. And I'm not about to get upset with different oil viscosity opinions. So what the hell, why not ask for another opinion. I love learning more!
Again, not sure why it all went away today. And they all came back on when the lower control arm bolt came off last track weekend. But happy as a pig in shit for sure it just magically went away. I did play with the on-screen prompts about tire pressure yesterday and my wife drove the car after...
Being in a warmer climate, what are your thoughts on the 5-30 like most are using for tracking? My ride will never see weather below freezing temps here in hot ? and schweaty FL. Almost makes me want to get a 5 or 10w-40 or 50... Just kidding on the 50, that would have to be expensive as ?. But...
