I've used a low grit sandpaper when keeping my old rotors if the pads didn't properly mate to the old rotors. When using new pads and rotors, the bed in is extremely easy. Rotors were cheap in my previous track cars and didn't require as hard of a bed in, with new rotors & pads every time. So...
Another short video with a good explanation of the different SPL parts:

Waiting for all my SPL track goodies to come in and be installed that will make my Supra faster and feel even better on track. But even then, this Supra drives amazingly in town, imo. Solid as a rock and smooth as butter. I find it hard to believe the “subjective“ data says the Z feels better…...
True. It does seem that way. In 2020, our entire population/civilization was under threat from Covid. Then in 2021, strict policy and a 99% efficacious vaccine with masking was going to eradicate the virus. And today, some still cling to those theories, while others adapt and simply move on...
My Maxxis's always seemed to last me the longest and had really good grip. There were definitely better compounds out there for competition (such as the BFGoodrich racing slicks on the MX5 Cup cars), but the price was exponential.
I really like the price point and grip of Maxxis RC-1s. I'm hoping it'll be the same for the Supra. And love Kumho track tires! Look forward to trying those out as well @razorlab

I've always kept a spare set of track wheels/tires in my garage. I don't want to drive around on R compound in town ofc and once you start using them at the track, you never want to drive on track without em, imo! So best solution for me (for a non-dedicated track car) is just swapping them out.
From what I understand any new vehicle takes longer to go through initial QC. This happened in 2020 when all the Supra's were a new platform (trying to search this issue and what came up) and since the MT are new, the inspection can take longer. Talking to @burning yesterday, he was explaining...
Shout out to Apex for their extensive guide. It really helped me to decide to go with a square 18x10 setup with 275/35 -18 tires. Lots of R compound tires readily available! At great prices...

On a positive note, my wife has 100 shares of Tesla. They split 3:1, so she now has 300 ?. If you can’t bet em, join em! Hope they can keep printing money and those government incentives up long enough for us to profit (or before inflation outpaces our gains) ?
Holy citations Batman! Well done ?? But why fight it? I know our transportation secretary Pete BootEdgeEdge is very busy chasing racist roads (you can look it up) but this must be propaganda. Climate experts like Greta Thunberg and AOC say we must act now! And other countries are doing it. So...
Please be careful if buying the car before it actually arrives at the dealer. Sounds kinda fishy ?‍♂️ I bought 2 of these incredible cars in different states once they were at the actual Toyota dealer. They wouldn't let me transport until I did all of the paperwork ofc. But again, maybe I'm...
