Nice!
I'd encourage you to check out supra_sessions on Instagram and Facebook for some Supra meets. @Loco38SUP also organizes some cruises for us closer to the Seattle/Bellevue area.
From my understanding, you can ceramic coat over PPF, but you can't/shouldn't PPF over ceramic coat since it's not going to be a proper seal/cover. You might have to get the ceramic coat removed and redone after PPF -- I highly recommend it in Washington since these cars kick up gravel a lot...
Despite the power bump, you have the rarer color and your car is easily tuneable. I wouldn't do that trade. But if they were buying for $80k, I'd definitely think about that.
I added two extra pieces of adhesive tape per side, one along the edge which has the raised lip, and one in the middle of the triangle that was formed. I didn't hear any wind noise that way.
As mentioned before, I run 37/37 cold for regular driving and it warms up to near 40 when its about 65-75 outside. I think I was running closer to 33-34 when it was about 90 during the heatwave in June (this is Seattle, 80 is considered hot). Helps save a little bit on gas if I'm just running...
37/37 cold for regular driving. It usually warms up to 39 or 40 in the northwest. If I'm running it harder, like track days, I'll be looking for not more than 35 hot.
You have to remember that your tires will gain pressure as they warm up, and outside temperatures also affect it. What sort of...
I'll keep an eye out on my next drive. I did add more 3M tape than what came with it, so that's a variable for me. It might also get drowned out over my intake as well.
LOL, someone (half) read a brochure. Dude doesn't know this isn't a V6, so its not even worth getting into it.
As for the update, Swickard in the Seattle area started around 1pm and I got a call around 3:40 saying it was done. It seems to fit within the 2 hour window most people are seeing.
Litespeed racing has magnesium alloy as an option for their forged wheels. I'd have to imagine you'd be looking at 5 figures for the set there. Something close to CF.
https://www.litespeedracing.com/rs20 was one I looked at.
None really on the west coast. A good amount of people who have a Supra up here in Washington bought it out east and drove or shipped it here due to the insane markups.
Agreed from a pure weight perspective.
From a cost perspective (from a bone stock car obviously), 19" might make more sense since you don't need new tires as well. If you want to stay forged, TS-5s seem to be the best priced.
I'd be curious to see if someone's gone for carbon fiber or...
