I justed placed an order for 19" Titan7 TS5s. $3k for the set and center caps. II prefer the TS5 split 5 spoke spaing better than OEM, you drop about 5lb per wheel, and they're forged and come well recommended by track enthusiasts.
I've still to decide whether I want to replace the OEM wheels...
Its not like a highway merge line, the angle is wider. Think of it like a 120 or so degree angle turn, farther than the mirrors go. But it lines up with the pillar in the back.
I feel like the best way to respond "but it's a BMW" at least in person is just to ask, "And that's a bad thing because?" and see if they can finish that sentence.
2021s are tunable IF the ECUs are dated before June 2020, which is unlikely if yours is just in transit.
As for colors, you can't go wrong with either. Some 2022 trims have a red interior option in addition to the default black, but other than that, I can't really think of any changes between...
I've got 3 track days, 11k miles, and countless spirited drives on the stock PSSs. Still got decent tread left. No donuts (no good location) or tail happiness (plenty of corners where if you go off, its straight into a tree or wall or off a cliff) in the corners. I'm expecting to be around 15k...
The pricing just doesn't seem worth it, if it's true. The NSX and current GTR prices should show that almost nobody is spending 6 figures on a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda/Acura.
I'd figure it would have been something like the M2CS vs M2C where its 10-15k more for the higher spec.
I guess he have made the length longer for personal taste, or he was just testing it before some further alterations. He did say everything on his car was a prototype or one-off. I didn't really ask him too much. Who knows, maybe he's a fan of the Shakotan exhaust style but there's laws up where...
Another one I learned recently was that rear passenger quarter visibility is basically non-existent if you're making a slight left onto another road. The angle's too wide for a blind spot monitor to kick in and you straight up can't see anything. It's basically turn blind or angle your car...
Also, I've got 160 in 6th near redline with no functional aero. Arrow straight, well maintained roads are the key here. It feels like there's about 20-25 mph more left to give.
That wheel looks like it would fall off on a hard left. Trying to sell this is a straight up safety hazard.
I just saw the craiglist ad was taken down at time of posting here.
FWIW, the stock tires are rated to 186mph, if I'm not mistaken.
I might check out the transmission tuning in Forza Horizon 5 to see what the math there suggests. Stock tuning usually feels fairly close to the real car. I think Forza Horizon 4 suggested the BMW Z4 could do about 183 without a...
For me, the breather hose was a massive pain in the ass to remove, and I also broke off a screw head as well, thinking I had to use those. Finally, the lid took some work to get lined up. I was tired since I started on the install late, and it was fairly easy once I got it on the next morning...
MST with inlet pipe makes the best noise, and I'd say best bang for the buck; it replaces the plastic turbo inlet with some deadening in there with metal pipes, and man did it sound good during a spirited drive.
Install is a pain in the ass, do be warned. The lid fitment and disconnecting the...
Everyone on the thread has the '21 3.0 Base or Premium -- agreed, we've all got the same brakes; there's no bigger or smaller brakes between base or premium, just the logo and the painted calipers.
I thought I was missing something there, like a MY difference or a 2.0.
Did a couple of things over the long weekend:
Tracked it at the the Ridge on Friday. Lots of Porsches on display, and plenty of cool toys out there
Verus heat shield and a painstaking MST V2 intake install on Saturday
Short cruise on Monday on some backroads to enjoy the induction noises
