@djf
It's fine. Stick to E25 without FP upgrade (roughly 1:4), E40 with FP upgrade (roughly 1:2 at FOL 60)

and verify your trims stay under 45.
Map 1 looks pretty solid and only needs a few adjustments.
For Map 2, I would keep dropping the duties under 5k until you stop getting those throttle closures. Try in increments of 5.
JB4 + MHD backend flash did, yes.
Just for anyone considering selling their JB4 after unlock ?
Basically the ecu flash gives the JB4 the proper fueling it needed all along, and let's it continue to manage boost control.
Definitely much better. Try updating to firmware V28 and do one more pull before we adjust anything further.
V28 has to be tuned differently than V27, so no point in doing it twice
Yessir. A properly wastegate-dialed JB4 map is even smoother than map 0 with a dp.
I'll be away from my PC for a few days, so I'll have to catch up on reviews. But keep playing around with the FF setting. Drop until throttle is generally >90 during the pull. Read about duty bias in the first...
Nothing wrong with the throttle, it's just because of your downpipe. Car is overboosting and the throttle is preventing the excess from entering the cylinders.
It's still running your wastegate as if there is the stock dp restriction. So you need to reduce FF(feed forward) until throttle...
i use OBDEleven for my GTI and it a nice app but yeah, you'll end up spending 10-20 bucks on credits to do the coding "apps" if you don't hard code it yourself. I wonder what options it will have compared to Bimmercode.
Looks great, I may do the same. Kept the stock intake, put in a Dinan filter. Actually did go from being silent to slight turbo noise. Probably will do the intake muffler delete too and call it a day.
Your armytrix has a cat simulator. You shouldn't even get a CEL. I haven't and I'm catless. My other car is a 200 cell and it didn't even need a simulator, just a spacer. No CEL either.
Good that you did go for that DP because that is literally the only way to prevent CEL on locked dme.
The base timing(and boost)will fluctuate based on IATs. What you are looking for is any drop from ign1-6 climbing to redline. No timing corrections = all cylinders converge and climb linearly towards redline
1-2 cylinders dropping <3 degrees is typically OK, just means you're reaching the limit...
