Nice! I was thinking of doing the similar thing to the Injen intake, AFAIK, it’s the only intake that is pending CARB approval.I used the Takeda intake. It comes kind of rice tbh. BUT, with some alterations, I like the OEM look. The cover matches the style of the stock engine cover. The circle part comes clear to "see" inside. I sprayed that black to match the rest of the plastic pieces. I also removed this giant red Takeda logo that ran vertically. It also sounds quite nice and depending on how loud yr exhaust is, you can still hear nice noises, and it’s pretty loud. ??
Looks great, I may do the same. Kept the stock intake, put in a Dinan filter. Actually did go from being silent to slight turbo noise. Probably will do the intake muffler delete too and call it a day.I just wanted to keep the superior performance of the stock intake while improve the looks, so went with the NVS carbon intake lid. Looks great; fits perfectly and deletes the stupid sound baffle.
Just note that even with the sound baffle delete, there is no change in volume, as far as I can tell, at least.
