Sorry for your loss man.
Yeah VSC on only helps so much, the root cause here is probably the rain.
I basically dont touch the throttle at all in the rain since its tried to step out on me a couple times. Hope you find yourself in another supra soon.
Holy shit dude😭 glad you are ok. Im always worried about this exact scenario when people are getting logs for me
I cant believe the stupid OTS 262144 limp mode literally contributed to totalling your car. I do have to ask what tires you are running where 4th gear will break loose like that
Great! Any chance of a full screen graphing, sort of like old style datazap?
I really liked having 2-3 views i could click through with a large view and auto axis scaling, rather than a lot of scrolling up and down.
I am over 700nm torque (520+ft lb) e50 tuned and not a hint of clutch slip. I dont launch the car or power shift (most NLS if i need to). I don't lug it either. At 7k miles, most of them tuned.
I do this because I learned my lesson on my GTI a decade ago. I used to lug it all the time, be...
Its been around. If you are overboosting or have big throttle closure on the shift, try raising it. (To 70 or 80)
If you are dropping a lot of boost on the shift, try lowering it. (40 or 20, etc)
Really anywhere 0-80 is fine to adjust and test.
Shoup has helped me a bit with my DIY process, great dude!
Spent like an hour on the phone with me to work some things out and I didn't even buy a tune from him. Just a passion for this stuff.
You have no idea how convoluted the shift logic is on these 😂 dme is rapidly changing torque requests as you engage and disengage clutch based on dozens of variables with ramping and limits. No surprise it feels pretty shit compared to purely mechanical manual boxes. I wouldn't be surprised if...
honestly I haven't had it happen since I've been on my custom MHD map. It definitely wasn't rev hang. it was like the accel pedal went to the floor lol
knowing what I know now, it was probably the clutch-(dis)engagement logic (aka MDK) in the dme failing to cut torque (pull timing and fuel)...
Correct, partial load tables transition to MHD+ custom boost control around 80 load and up.
Here's my partial load and blend table:
I found the first table to be well worth adjusting, as the car would sometimes boost creep up to 10 psi at low load. Despite target at 0.
The fader is less well...
