I filled up 3 gallons e85 and topped off the rest with 93. This is roughly e30, a little lower.
Just finished driving it hard for about 30 minutes. I had let the gas mix cruising for 15 min or so, then did several 1st-2nd-3rd pulls to redline.
Absolutely no CELs or hiccups. Slightly noticeable...
You can check my earlier post. Ando at BMS said 20-30% ethanol is fine. I am putting in 2 or 3 gallons e85 today and giving it a try. Also see that Bimmerpost link I posted. Supposedly up to E40 worked, but e50 gave a CEL (probably fuel trims)
Note: Per the E85 calculators and our 13.7 gal...
As far as I know, the stock fueling (with stock turbo) can handle up to E50 no problem when flash tuned for it.
Essentially, your car's ECU has a range of fuel flow that is acceptable within its pre-defined OEM limits. When you flash your car, those limits are adjusted. A JB+ is not a flash, so...
First hit with the JB+ caught me off guard. Way faster than I was expecting too. I am going to try mixing in some ethanol this week, as BMS told me 2-3 gallons E85 is fine with JB+.
Some M340 guys found power gains that way.
Have a read...
No, it isn't. I have my JB+ maxed out on my MT with 0 slip at all. ~1400 mi (few hundred with JB+)
JB+ is not a JB4. you are looking at +40 WTQ at most.
Just go for it. I took the leap and my clutch has been fine so far.
Definitely feels like a good 30-40 hp on the butt dyno. You can tell a little hesitation when the ECU compensates for the added boost. Not particularly noticeable or a deal breaker at the price point.
Just put a 90 degree O2 sensor spacer on it if there's enough room for it. Had a CEL after I did catted DP on my GTI and the spacer made it go away forever. Still hasn't come back in 5+ years.
That's pretty much how some of these "No-CEL" guarantee brands achieve it (if they aren't running...
No, I don't have a group, but I'm looking to join one. Passed by a huge Bimmer group a couple weeks ago, wonder who they are...
If you're looking to link up, I'll probably be headed back that way middle of May. I can DM you my contact info. That gas station before the twisties on 178, Holly...
Seconded. Also see that you're in GVL too, give 178 Pickens towards Brevard a try for a good road. I've had my Supra up there almost every weekend.
I tried 276 thru Caesars head recently but the road quality was crap and more traffic than 178.
Yep. When I bought my 2015 GTI, noticed the ride quality was shit and the front end ride height looked weird. ended up pulling the spacers out after a couple drives.
Didn't check on the Supra, but it rides fine and looks normal.
Frustrating that they forget such a simple thing. Can't believe...
I originally wanted stratosphere. Thought the white would be flat and not show the body lines well. Once I saw it in the sun, my opinion changed completely.
I'm glad I didn't wait for the blue and "settled for" my AZ.
Wish I had driven a 20-22 MY to compare, but the diff in the 23 is ridiculous! Traction for days! The hairpin feature is no joke either, car rotates wonderfully powering out of a tight corner. Almost feels like you're starting to lose the rear but its completely planted.
Even passengers have...
Bummer, glad to hear it is easily repaired. I had to park in a tight lot recently, luckily was driving my daily GTI that day. Of course came back to a big scuff on the door. The one dang time I have to park next to people... Go figure. Idiots have no respect for other people's property.
Not...
Makes sense to me. For most of us, it is our only sports car and wasn't an impulse financial decision. For me, it took several years of saving to even consider it. I'm not sure that I'll ever own a nicer "toy" than I do now. Maybe the Porsche guys can afford to pay 20k for an allocation, but...
