The Emira is such a weird car. It looks a step up from the Supra - like the curves are more purposeful and genuine - but it's just not up to punching up at all. At car meets it looks out of place next to higher priced cars in a way the Supra just doesn't. It's like the Supra is a bit of a...
OK mate. 🙄
I'm just letting folks know that the service schedule found in their manual, is no longer being followed by Toyota Australia. And moreover, the revised schedule means anybody going through the dealer (which will be the vast majority of owners) is getting less for their money than...
I'm so glad I bought a Toyota.
<RANT>
I called to book my “capped price logbook service” today and after coming to terms with the new no free loan cars policy at pretty much every dealer, I have discovered a bigger problem. Toyota has “revised” our servicing schedule to further rip us off...
Looking for service department recommendations in Melbourne. Called two dealers and they're now charging for loan cars. 😒 Can anyone recommend decent Toyota service centers in Melbourne?
I don't have the file you are after, but I'm not sure it's going to do what you think it's going to do anyway. I don't trust Bimmercode backups from my own car, let alone someone else's.
What are you trying to achieve?
Curious to see if it solves the problem for you as the CDV delete pretty much nothing for me. The only thing that improves it slightly is turning rev matching off.
Not for me, it didn't.
Same thoughts as the old Corolla: By a Type R instead. 😂
I had the opportunity to drive the 86, Yaris, Corolla and Supra on a track back to back. The Corolla was easily the weakest link being a lot like the Yaris but heavier. While the 86 squealed all the way around the track and was quite...
It's all relative, to be sure but the Supra box really is pretty ordinary, despite being very easy to drive. I'll go further and say that the Supra's gearbox is its single biggest flaw. And before the autoboys pile on.. it's still better than driving an auto, lol.. but still.
I think you have the same problem I have.. you've come from a Type R. By comparison, the gearbox in the Supra is absolute rubbish compared to the Honda box.
It's still a small sample but as of today, that's 9/37 have had clutch issues.. or just under 25%. Higher than I'm comfortable with to be fair, but still pretty low considering some of these are for cars running higher than stock torque and power figures.
"Designed" Like almost everything Toyota has done after the initial release, these are just another after thought. I'd be surprised if they even work. 😂
It's wild that there are so many perfectly fine and better looking options available but ya'll are obsessing over these ugly things just because Toyota.
I've decided to enlist our AI overlords for this installment of How is the Supra Doing on Carsales?
32 cars in total (5 of which are dealer/demo cars): 19 Automatic, 13 Manual and only 3 manuals in Victoria!
And a bonus comparo, for shits and giggles:
Playing out as predicted, really...
