Well I saw a brightness slider in the menu settings. I thought this used to have to be coded via Bimmercode?

I have my car coded to start in Sport Mode and Auto off memory to remember its last setting. With the code added in the document, the little Auto Off symbol on the instrument cluster is no longer displayed.

I saw that but its pretty convoluted and can't be updated or changed.

I've been doing some Bimmercode coding and I noticed that my MY23 head unit seems to have been pre-coded with the ability to increase/decrease its brightness - I'm positive I didn't code it in. Has anyone else noticed this?

A dealer did this to me once. It's like the good old wiper blade replacement scam. After the first time it happens to you, you will never let it happen again. I suggest showing the stealer the manual and at the very least have them refund whatever they charged you, if not flush it out. Then...
