I was in this camp until I got used to the sheer speed of the ZF and the control the paddles give. It's far superior to any manual transmission car I've ever owned. Don't get me wrong, I love rowing gears, but I'm in the Supra game to go really fast for a short of an amount of time as possible...
0-122 in 11.4 JB4 + Meth + Tires.
With a better 60' which I can absolutely manage (waiting on axles) I'm looking closee to 11.0. With the Pure, I'm really hoping for 10.8.
I believe we've talked about this probably 100x by now. Literally nothing changes regarding flash maps. If you needed to bench unlock before, you'll need to bench unlock again.
I should have some kind of macro to just post this link...
It's awesome learning about what everyone does when they're not playing with their cars. Medical Devices is a super hard industry to work in (I have a software-engineer friend in that field).
Like @STV3 said, just use the Z4 entry.
I'm only replying because this has nothing to do with the ECU being locked. The ECU lock stuff only comes into play with a flash tune. If you don't have or want a flash tune, everything is exactly the same as it was before.
You'll likely need to change the sensors. All manufacturers are slightly different. I watched a super interesting video on the engineering of them recently.
I highly recommend watching that if you're interested in RF signals or the TMPS system at all.
Basically everything in the User Guide. Start in sport, auto-engine-off off, disable ASD, fix the display brightness, BMW chimes, disable seatbelt warnings, disable popups.
I didn't get a notice, but I'm not interested in brakes failing, being unable to renew my registration, or anything else. Recall is something you should absolutely do. It's a few hundred bucks to re-bench unlock if you need it.. Not worth not doing.
I didn't read everything, but if they updated iDrive without updating the rest of the ISTA stuff, then you need to bring it back.. you didn't get the recall.
