I'd heed this advice very very very carefully - as it's a good way to brick your ECU, especially with ECUTek. I'd just before around this. ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
(also - those HP displays are bullshit, that's 100% not the actual amount of power you are putting down, it's simply not possible to calculate...
Honestly depends on the service. If you go in for an oil change, tell them not to flash the ECU and you decline the recall work (I'd still recommend you get the recall done).
There are little lock cover things you can buy to lock the OBD port, but that seems excessive.
In the worst case...
What tire pressure are you running? And how well is the track prepped?Even the stock tires shouldnât spin in 4th. Definitely not on an OTS âstage whateverâ tune.
Oh, it's definitely a trivial amount, but it's not like the CX is a 'lesser' bunch of electronics, it just supports a broader set of protocols.
Everyone just orders on amazon, though - so I assume they're all just returned immediately after they've been used anyway.
They're different tools.
Bimmercode is an app. You download it on the app store. It's like $30 bucks or something. To use it you need a compatible Bluetooth dongle. The OBDLink CX is probably the most common one.
