0W-20 is 0W-20 is 0W-20. It's all API certified to meet those viscosity parameters.
The only difference is the GR oil has the ACEA C5 rating, which is a Euro-based certification for oils that are particularly friendly to Three Way Catalysts...
Tough to answer, because I'm between MKVs at the moment, not by choice. However, I've never planned on selling mine/not owning one, and the next one will be a keeper for 20+ years. So, currently owning one in spirit and a reservation on paper, I'm picking 3 years, currently own.
My guy is doing the recall on a 2021 2.0 right now, and will send me the iStep numbers...however I can't promise they're gonna be the same as a 3.0. I'll post them either way for ya'll...
Just talked with my favorite Supra Tech. He's only done one of these updates, and of course it was a stock vehicle. However, he did say that most likely an unlocked DME would be re-locked because the iLevel (that's what it's called in Toyotaland) essentially does a full system sweep anytime...
