This is not possible with coding. The DRL PCB in the US has an LED for the side marker. With the EU version, this LED does not exist. Some people in the EU got the Illumo RGB DRL kit and now also have the side marker. They have no way to disable it.

I was researching parts for doing this mod and wanted to do the cables in a proper way. I discovered that Bmw does offer a Y cable. Part number: 61129321298 From the pictures I saw the plugs should fit. I might give it a try and report if it works. This would be a very clean solution.

I had the same issue and thought the window switch would work. After digging for wiring diagrams, I found the solution. Behind the black weather seal is the electric motor for the window. Red/Yellow for 12V and Brown for Ground. I tapped into these wires to get my 12V for the ambient light.
