  1. Square set up tire width

R888 is the internet favorite go to "track tire". Everyone learns this from the word of mouth. Its pretty amazing...
  2. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Did Nissan actually come out and say that or is it just internet labeling it that way?
  3. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

The responses here and Z forum are exactly what I was expecting. Glad I am in neither camp and just enjoy the comments (smart or stupid) 😅
  4. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Down the drain is my guess. ?
  5. poor service before I buy is this what to expect

Never owned a Porsche so I cannot compare. But I never expect any quality service from any dealer no matter how expensive that car may be. It's unfortunate but thats the reality that shows dealership need to go.
  6. Pros/Cons 275/35-19 and 295/35-19 on 9.5 and 10.5 rims???

Ok, I get that. But there are other variables like tread wear, and tire pressure that can also impact the speedo reading but at the end of the day, these are immaterial and not what most people are trying to chase after by changing tire sizes. You are more likely going to think about how...
  7. Pros/Cons 275/35-19 and 295/35-19 on 9.5 and 10.5 rims???

What does that mean? Your speedo is calibrated for whatever size the car originally comes OEM with. Putting taller/shorter tires throw them off.
  8. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

At the it doesn't have the ricer fire cracker sound.
  9. Do you consider the Supra a "young persons" car?

To be fair, most of the Japanese sports give off that vibe about the owners being "young and dangerous", but I personally don't care unless the cops start pulling me over because of that stereo type. ?
  10. SCCA AX classing - unintended consequence?

Just know that PAX isn't a real thing in National (caveat except in ProSolo but that's another topic). On paper, CAM should be far faster than the same car in stock form but PAX is based on pass results which can be totally skewed when CAM isn't running the times they are capable of for whatever...
  11. Stock Supra in SCCA (BS) B-Street Autocross

I understand where you are coming from. The classing stuff is confusing for a lot of people especially new comers. But if all you need to know is where your car is classed, the information is available in the rule book which you can download here: https://www.scca.com/pages/solo-cars-and-rules...
  12. Stock Supra in SCCA (BS) B-Street Autocross

Well, FasTrack is a monthly newsletter providing updates on claddings, rule changes, rules clarifications etc. The changes during the year will then make their way to the next year's rule book at the end of the year. So the Supra classing will be updated in the 2022 rulebook for example. Note...
  13. Stock Supra in SCCA (BS) B-Street Autocross

Local SCCA event I assume. Just run in BS, nobody should care enough for a local event IMO. Otherwise you would be in Street Touring but the Supra isn't classes there yet this year. It is supposed to go into the new SST class next year though.
  14. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

The rear is a diffuser e not a vent. The front (I assume you mean the driver side is blocked off) because there is nothing to feed for cooling on that side but is there for symmetry because the passenger side is feeding air to the oil cooler. Neither of these are the same type of fake vents on...
  15. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Yeah I don't see the car starting anything less than $38k. $40k is probably a good guess.
  16. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

What fake vents are you referring to on the GtR? Just curious as far as I know I don't think there is any. Back to your point, there is no avoiding the comparison of the Supra to the New Z because they are very comparable on paper and both are moder rwd that come from the Japanese manufacturer...
  17. Cheap Track Tires

Ummm......No. It depends what the car needs and what issue you are trying to address. You can absolutely change out one bar without touching the other. Hankook RS4 is a good cheapish street tire for track days because they last so long. It is not the fastest tire nor give the best feedback but...
