Update to this fiasco. Found a replacement hatch and swapping it over. It's not too bad overall but lots of work. Had to remove a lot of the interior trunk, seats, and headline. Should be done by end of this week.

Working that out now as a final option. The trunk I found they had apparently cut the wiring, will see though. Based on this I'll shop around a bit more for quotes. I'm in DFW should definitely be places here.
