“brake fluid service “. ??

One day after my warranty expired, I got this on the dash notification ! “Service brake fluid “
Obviously I checked fluid,it was clear and to the full line, like when it was new, so, what the hell is service break fluid!!??

It’s a timed service reminder. Once you swap the fluid you can reset it in the dash menu same as you reset the oil change reminder.

Brake fluid is a 2 year service interval not based on mileage. Although 2 years is conservative, so what I do is I bought a brake fluid tester online and I test my brake fluid till it detects water in my brake fluid system, that’s my notification telling me to change it.

Timed reminder. Service your brake fluid lmao. The car came with a book, it's got service intervals in it.

Humm.. I owned my car since 2020, no brake service lamp yet. I have BimmerLink so I can reset all reminders. Some reminders I could not reset from the cluster due to super low mileage.

For me, I don't see myself changing my fluid until about the 4th or 5th year mark.. unless it gets spongy. I have a fluid extractor and all so would do it in my garage. This has been the way on all my low mileage cars, never had issue.
