You’re selling a car with someone else’s name on the title? Are they going to fly out and sign the title over to the new owner? This seems like something bad is bound to happen. May want to clarify that as I don’t see a local city office / DMV taking well to that.

Can't sell a $65000 car without the title in your name. You need to title it in your name and then sell it.

4 new tires at 1900 miles. A lien during this 2nd ownership with the 1st owners name. So got a loan and paid the first owner, but didn't register the car into his name? Trying to sell it with the title not showing a lien with the original owner's name? Not pay the loan and car gets repo. Yeah shady AF

I will clarify the title details with any serious interested buyer. What I'm not going to do is post the purchase and titling details only to have this forum plastered with guesswork legal advise.

Quoting this for when the car goes up for sale; ONLY buy this car when the OP has the actual title in their name. If anything our questions are keeping future buyers safe.

If I was purchasing a car and the person is like 'heres the title, not in my name' I would report them to every forum/facebook/craigslist known to man to keep others safe.
