Anyone in here interested in buying my Burnout white Supra.
1400 miles, and honestly only 200 miles of them were hard driving since i followed the break in procedure by that book.
Reason to sell: MY family lifestyle has no room for the supra :(

Does anybody know about getting on a list for the next generation around the Decatur/Huntsville, AL area?

Well, I got to sit in her for the first time, but could not start it or drive it unfortunately. Gotta wait a few more weeks for that apparently...

Are you stalled out waiting on codes or waiting on a Supra certified tech to do the pre-delivery?

Yes i am. All the paperwork is done, and the car is fully mine... yet I cannot drive it home.

In another not so surprising set of events, turns out the car was damaged during shipment and consequently repaired by Toyota.
The dealership had to disclose it, and assured me that it would not show up on the Carfax since it was fixed by Toyota themselves.

The damage was to the front lip and the front bumper cover. I saw a picture of the damage, and I did not think it warranted $1400 of repairs... it was a slight 1" scratch on the front bumper and a similar nick on the lip. They replaced the entire bumper cover and lip - which added to the 1 ~ 1.5 month delay.

That blows.

And that was a legit concern of mine when my dealer said my car was in, that their one and only Supra certified tech wouldn't be working that day or that the activation codes (or whatever they need to get the car registered) wouldn't come in. But the stars aligned for me and the tech was working the day my car came in, and they got it set up and ready that same day with no delays in the process which allowed me to drive out and pick it up the next day.

Yep. Felt like puking the whole time i was out there. I had an internal debate for a good 1 hour on what to do next. Eventually, the dealership agreed to drop the markup down to only 1k to compensate for the delay and unfortunate repair.
They also mentioned that, had the repair costed more than 1.5k, the car would have been shipped right back to the factory.. so im glad i avoided that.

Unfortunately, at my dealer, the Supra tech was apparently let go due to lack of work or something. So they need to schedule one in, which takes about a week or so. But getting the codes from BMW is the first hurdle that needs to be overcome before they can get the tech on the phone. Allegedly.

I picked up my Supra the day it was delivered, but the dealer didn't get the codes to unlock the GPS yet so I drove home. It's been 2 weeks and I should be getting the car back Saturday from paint protection film, so I can go into the dealer and get my GPS unlocked.

My salesmen said the GPS lock would be received the day I picked but later that day. I didn't want to wait around.

So I don't think you should really have that long a wait for BMW codes.

Today was pick up day! Weather was horrible with slick rain and high winds with debris everywhere, but everything worked out!
I asked the dealership to not do any washes. I have my detailer scheduled to come in this week and give it its first bath.

First impressions;
- This bish is a head turner.... I had people slowing down in the fast lane just to take pics on my drive back from the dealership!!! :p
- The car is such an easy manual to drive. Very forgiving. Almost no way to stall it on accident.
- The clutch engagement is super low. Making it easier to get up and go.
- The clutch engagement point is very noticeable. Not a tricky clutch at all.
- Shifting is just so freaking rewarding.... you just wanna keep shifting. IDK what i would do if i wasn't shifting LOL.
- 6th gear at 80 mph requires 3 ~ 3.5k rpm. Not the best for highway drives lol.
- Car turns like it is on rails. No drama at all. Turning radius is great too!
- Steering is on the lighter side. But has enough feedback for a novice driver.
- Interior is much more crammed that i remember in the test drives. But that just adds to the sporty character!
- Sport mode changes the engine characteristic dramatically.
- Normal mode is extremely quiet on the inside. You can barely hear the engine if you have any music on.
- Sound system is 6/10. Not that i ever wanna hear anything else but the engine.

At the dealer's bay. The car had 11 miles on it.
