Hello all,

I had a quick question. I was looking at this spreadsheet: this, and I saw that there are no 2024 3.0 Premium MTs allocated as of yet, but I do see some 2024 premiums. I was wondering if this is accurate, or if Toyota has not just allocated any MTs. And if they have not allocated any, when do you all think they will start doing so? What was the case for the 2023 MY?

I also hope this thread can become an area for discussion for the 24 MY in general.

Thanks

You are looking at the 'GR Supra 3.0 Premium MT' tab? I don't think the 2024 MTs will be on that tab, they will be mixed in with the 'GR Supra 3.0 Premium' tab. I think this is an artifact of how Toyota labeled them, similar to how the 'manual' filter on the site only filters for 2023 and not 2024s. The spreadsheet pulls from the same data using the API. I don't know that there is a good way to filter out the MTs except to look up each VIN (which is what I did for my MT search).

Thank you for this information. What did your search turn up? Are they done producing the 2023 models? Also, do you think 2025 will be the last year?

Yes, MY2023 production ceased as of June or July.

Yes, at this point 2025 is scheduled to be the end, but it appears that there's potentially an option to extend into 2026, at least according to BMW & Magna Steyr data sheets.

Thank you so much for this info. I am enjoying my 2023 blue mt. Hopefully they go way up in value once they stop making them.

I preferred to get a 3.0 premium, but it seemed like most of the cars being produced are 45th anniversary. I checked the sheet each day for new additions and called those dealers. I got an allocation for a 45th MT in white @MSRP after about a week and half of looking. I called probably 50 dealers. About a handful of them were willing to sell at MSRP and put me on a list/refundable deposit. Some wouldn't sell out of state, or beyond an arbitrary distance (I heard 50 miles/100 miles). I actually found a 3.0 MT on the ground in a color i wanted for MSRP, but they wouldn't sell to me out of state. Some more would sell at MSRP but maintained no list. Some did MSRP, but non-refundable deposits. Some wanted straight markups from 4-10K. Some said they had no markup, but had non-optional things like cermaic coating add-ons for 2.5K. My allocation is supposed to be delivered mid-January, fingers crossed that there are no last minute shennanigans.

There are no more 2023s. No idea about 2025.

However, when I look at the vehicles sold for 2023, it specifies if its MT or not on the spreadsheet. I'm not sure if this is different for 24 but with my cursory search through the 24 Premiums, none of them seemed to be MT.

I went though that dance in Nov 22 and found my car in about a week. I would say if you find a dealer willing to deal jump. The few thousand I paid over MSRP got me a four year extra of enjoyment over waiting on a list, the car I wanted and now the MSRP is the same for whatI paid. Opportunity sometimes has a cost that can’t be recouped.

There are basically zero cars on the lot that aren't sold before they arrive, so you have to wait no matter what. The problem with paying over MSRP is it doesn't necessarily mean you get your car any sooner. I dunno why I would pay a non-refundable deposit for 5K over to be on a waitlist, when I could just be on an MSRP refundable waitlist. But, I too compromised, I have no real interest in paying 5K more for the anniversary over the 3.0 premium, so that is the 'markup' I'm paying.

They are on there, for example VIN WZ1DB0G04RW062868 is manual. You can tell some of them are manual from the packages if they have " Driver Assist Package (For MT only) ". You can't rely on that as a filter though, since not all the manuals have that package.

It appears that the production is still 50/50 split for at vs mt not counting 2.0s

used to be the base model we’re the common ones. Shows you how the market has shifted. The 2.0 might be a thing in the collector market down the road. Lighter, rarer, less complex, less electronics with all the look. Cheaper sure but sought after

Not sure looking at the spread sheet does not look like a 50% split between automatic's and MT
