Does anyone feel the need to take off aftermarket parts before going in for warranty work unrelated to those parts, or even for something as simple as a free oil change?

Has anyone ran into any issues by dealers or have been “flagged” in the system as some people have suggested online?

Im currently running a jb4, intake, and charge pipe and im wondering if resetting to map 0 and taking the jb4 out will be enough to avoid any possible conflicts with the dealer.

Strictly speking any mods will void your warranty according to Toyota here in Norway.. but I guess it depends on the dealer, the one closest to me is kind of strict and told me that if I modify they would have to evaluate this case by case, but I know of one dealer where the guys working there have Supras and they modified the hell out of those... so my next service will be there ;)
I would call the dealer and tell him that you are considering modifying the car and ask what they think about that, based on the reply you're either OK or have to take the mods off, alternatively find another dealer and repet the process

Technically, yes, those mods can void your warranty. But I doubt you're swapping your intake and charge pipe every time you take it in.

Realistically speaking, you'll have to go and talk to your dealer to figure out their policy. The place I bought mine did the recall while I had an AA downpipe on and the JB4 set to map0 and unplugged from the OBD port.

I've had no issues with them changing the oil and with them doing the recall. They did complain that my car was slammed and it took them 30mins to get the car on the rack ?

I have HKS intake, HKS hi power exhaust, and HKS springs. Now, with that said; I recently had an issue with my car. There is a whole post on the forums. Basically, the dealership told me that they will check my car and I would have to pay for repairs/diagnostic if the issue is a result of me installing after market parts.

Turns out that a defective sparkplug was causing the issue and after two weeks they changed the plug and gave me my car back. I didn't pay a dime, I did however provide them with the 14mm socket since they do not have it in their toolkit.

In my experience, this dealer will complete routine maintenance and warranty work if it looks like your parts aren't causing any issues.
