I just went thru the oil pump issue with my 2020, there's a thread on that, but wanted to start a new one and get some feedback on what the dealer wrote on the paper work.

I have no idea when the oil pump issue started. When I pulled the car out of winter storage about 3 days later I get a low oil message in the car. Maybe that was the point when issue started? Topped it off, but when I couldn't run the oil level check I posted here and found out about the oil pump issue. Drove it for about 2 more weeks until could get it in the dealer. No other warnings or CEL at all.

Here is what the dealer wrote:
Verified the customers concern of vehicle will not complete oil level test. Oil level test will halt at 16% complete. Checked the Toyota information system for campaigns, technical service bulletins, technical tips, customer support programs, and recalls and found no documents related to the vehicle concern. Researched and analyzed Toyota resources found no documents related to concern.
Contacted Technical assistance TAS for help with customers concern, case number xxxxxxx May 20 2025. and was advised TAS agent recommends performing DME call up function for oil pressure. Found that adjust max oil pressure test fails. TAS agent recommends replacing oil pump assembly. Further examination found the engine oil pump internal mechanical failure.
Removed front subframe and oil pan to gain access to the engine oil pump. Accessed, removed, and replaced oil pump. The system is now operating as intended. Oil level test now passes and completes to 100%. No further action needed.

So it appears, if I'm reading this correctly, that the oil pump did actually fail and I was driving with no or low oil pressure for two weeks. Anything I should be concerned about or keep an eye on?

Thanks.

AFAIK, the pump is designed to fail to high pressure. The system is PID controlled. Which, btw makes it a joy (in a good way) in tuning. I think that "Found that adjust max oil pressure test fails" means the PID system was no longer effective in dynamic pressure changes because of the failed pump. Doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't making any pressure.

Ahhh... ok, so the system dynamically adjusts the pressure all the time and it wasn't anymore, because of the failure, basically defaulting to a high pressure state. Ok makes me feel better. Thanks for the explanation.

Many of the videos of people pulling their old oil pumps apart shows that no internals were broken and all appears to be functioning as it should, I think maybe one person who had their oil pump replaced had an oil pressure warning with a check engine light. There was another thread (can't remember if here or on facebook) where someone couldn't read the oil level, but when monitoring the oil pressure everything was working as it should.

TLDR: I'm sure you are fine.
